"What an awesome Welcome Center! The architect did a really nice job designing this building. Nice and clean restrooms. The facility has a decent amount of travel info about West Virginia. If only every WV Welcome Center was this nice!"
"Busy busy busy interstate. Nice and smotth. My truck was 78,660 pounds. The steer tires were 11,540, plus drive and trailer axle weights. So, it was 15-20 mph uphill. Some trucks are the full 80k, some overweight. Unfortunately, passenger vehicles don't realize that when a truck is slow uphill, they are going to be tending the brakes and gears downhill. Don't jump in front of us downhill. You could get run over if the brakes fail. Drive with your family in your car like you love them and stop taking a chance on their lives. GIVE US ROOM UP FRONT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. PLEASE!!"
"It’s a great welcome center with plenty of information and very helpful folks workin there. There’s a few spots for some great photos, even if the WV medium security federal prison. Very clean restrooms too."
"Very large pet area to the right of the truck parking with mowed grass. Was able to comfortably let my dogs run off leash. The space is larger than some established dog parks that we've stopped at on our travels. I didn't go into the building but it looked like a nice facility from the outside"
"I’m writing this from the perspective of a person with limited mobility. The handicap parking spots are pretty far from the bathrooms. I use a walker and electric scooter to get around and it was a long way to walk with my walker. Also, the handicap stall in the Women’s room is very small. I could barely fit my walker in there. I had to back in and was squished for room. The bathroom was very large. The welcome center itself looked nice with a lot of information."
