"We went in the middle of September. The beach was quiet and not crowded. It’s a small beach with a small boardwalk. It was clean. There were jellyfish in the water. If you want to relax and enjoy the sun, this is a good spot. Parking was $3.00 an hour"

"I've been going to Colonial beach, beterrn the 2 rock lines next to the pier since I was 8 years old [I'm now 37]. It's never stupid busy and it's very relaxing. I highly reccomend."
"Wonderful little beach and town. It’s an easy drive from the DC area and a great place for families. It’s not overcrowded and everything is reachable by bicycle. The food and entertainment options are limited, but the beach is a lot of fun. We’ll definitely be coming back."
"Clean and nice. Little bit in the off season but that's okay. Alot to see and do in the area. People are friendly. Beautiful views. Water was a tad cold but not cold enough to keep me out of it. Did see a couple of jellyfish but they stayed their distance . I had no issues but keep your eye open. Will visit again and recommend this area . You do pay for parking in the area."
