"Our daughter has been attending Busy Bee for the last 3+ years. We were very selective when we where choosing a day care for our daughter. We found that Busy Bee to met the criteria we identified and provided additional benefits we have come to rely on. Busy Bee's curriculum is ever evolving and is curated to the needs of children that attend each classroom. The curriculum includes traditional age appropriate educational topics as well as assist children develop cultural and emotional awareness. We found that every teacher/assistant recognizes that not every child's/parent's needs are the same and will work together with the parents to a identify program or approach that is acceptable and can be reinforced at home and school. The staff (from full time teachers to part time assistants to Administrate staff) shows incredible care, kindness, and love for the children. The communication is frequent, personal and direct. The staff works to ensure communication to and from from parents and staff is as seamless as possible. Having our daughter was one of the best decisions we made when we moved to Philly. Busy Bee became more than our daughter's day care; it is a family that we joined and that we are fortunate to be a part of."
"Our experience with Busy Bees Learning Center has been nothing short of fantastic, and I am particularly impressed with the incredible strides my child has made in developing his communication skills under their care. Through a variety of engaging activities and interactive play, my child has not only honed his verbal communication but has also become more adept at non-verbal communication, making strides in both language comprehension and expression. I've noticed a significant expansion in my child's vocabulary, and he now expresses himself more clearly and confidently. From what I have observed the staff actively observe and assess what my child needs, providing targeted support where necessary. The progress reports and regular updates on my child's development have been invaluable, keeping me informed and involved in his journey to improved communication skills. I am truly grateful for the positive impact Busy Bees Learning Center has had on my child. Thank you, Busy Bees!"
"My son has been here since he was in the infant room, and is now almost a teenager (well, he's about to be 4). The center staff are caring, competent, warm, welcoming, and basically the best in about every way. Some tidbits that I've really appreciated over the years -- every 6 months or so, we get an individualized developmental report from his teachers that talks about how he's doing along a lot of developmental dimensions, and talks about what the center staff and we can do to reinforce his learning. These reports knock my socks off -- they always show how much care the teachers put into the goals and abilities of each one of the kids there, and show how much they get to know each kid as an individual. The teachers have gone the extra mile to create learning themes and units about things like plants, animals, geography, their family history, the water cycle, where food comes from, and more. I'm always amazed by the vocabulary and concepts my 3 year old picks up and deploys at home -- "Da, this is a picture of a Madagascan sunset moth," or when he points out Peru on a map. The center staff go the extra mile to stay open, even when the weather's bad. They've made it to work in the snow a number of times, even when Philly schools are closed. The center staff have handled every "incident" with an extraordinary level of professionalism, whether a potty training accident or times when he's taken a hard fall or literally run into another child while playing. When appropriate, they've given us written reports and taken all the follow up actions (and more) that I think are warranted, while taking great care to safeguard the nurturing and respectful community they have created. Long story short, I can't recommend Busy Bees enough. We're so fortunate to have found them."
"Our son has been going to Busy Bees since he was six months old, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about the place. We have loved every teacher he has had at every developmental stage. The staff has been warm, caring, thoughtful and patient at every turn. They have supported our son in reaching his developmental milestones and beyond. I love hearing my son sing the parts of a flower, name countries and states, or rave about the time they built an actual space Mission Control and let the kids “travel to space”. I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing daycare and now pre-school for my little guy!"
"We have been with Busy Bees since my son (now 3.5) was 8 months old. As I’m sure is typical with most parents who had their first baby in the 2020 height of Covid, we were beyond anxious to start daycare - but Busy Bees has been a godsend. Communication from teachers and leadership is frequent, and I feel grateful every day to be able to drop my son off at a daycare where teachers throughout the center know his name and care about him. I have to convince him to come home with me every day because he’s having so much fun. I have been a teacher myself for six years - and I’m very satisfied with how my son’s classes have been organized. He has tons of opportunities for both playing and learning, and he comes home excited to tell me about shapes, letters, numbers, and songs. I am also especially grateful for how much effort his teachers have put into helping him grow as a little person - as busy as the day of a preschool teacher is, I see my son (and other students) supported one on one when needed, and have never witnessed anything other than patience and kindness from his teachers as he has moved from the infant room all the way to threes."
