"This hotel has a small print never-hear-of-before surprise if you cancel after you make a reservation even 10 minutes after, like I did, you're stuck paying 50% of the reservation. After they request a copy of your ID, you with your ID, your a photo of the front and back of your cc and a screenshot of the first min charge from the hotel. LOUSY customer service. I have to change my review. After cancelling so close to making the reservation they emailed me and refunded my deposit."

"THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. they have a number of lawsuits against them. they ask for a significant amount of private information from you, but they've had DATA LEAKS, so you can't trust them at all. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. DO NOT STAY WITH THEM. they are not safe, discrete or private."

"Interesting looking building. Nice architectural interiors. Quite noisy location, traffic is constant 24 hours a day on Vine and the open-cut highway below. We stayed 3 nights in unit D, one casement window was not closing fully and this increased the noise levels in the unit, the owner needs to fix this. The loft bedroom was tiny and the single bathroom was tiny. It was enough for a few nights, but I think it would be tough for a longer stay. One more tip is that the neighboring building is a funeral home so there is likely going to be activity downstairs at some point during your stay"

"I've been hesitant to leave this review but I've been bothered almost haunted by my stay since I left. As dramatic as that sounds that's the only way I have to describe my stay with the Abode property in Philadelphia. First I have to mention yes the place looks like depicted in the pictures. This was my first visit to Philly and I'm from the West Coast so I don't know if I'm just used to a particular type of luxury when you compare yourself to "upscale hotels" but this didn't come close! They cut corners wherever possible. I will start small. I think they borrowed towels from some upscale hotels as none matched, the soaped smelled fantastic, what little bit there was. I was booked for a week almost a week in advanced and both of the conditioner and body wash dispenser was empty. Upon entering the unit the smell of harsh cleanser was overpowering, I let Abode know and nothing was ever done. I couldn't open ANY windows because the one leading to the designated patio/terrace had a mosquito infestation. The window in the bedroom was used for trash, visibly so and was not cleaned and when I cracked the window there was an over whelming scent of urine. I found out fast this was the scent of the immediate area so it amazed me that this company didn't use some type of pleasant deodorizing system for guest. I paid a $75 cleaning fee and although the interior was "clean" all exterior areas were everything but clean in fact they were absolutely disgusting. I could not use the patio AT ALL during my stay not only because of the mosquito infestation, all of the trash for the property is disposed of directly over the patio/terrace and because of this, there is a small homeless population that gathers and hangs out throughout the day discarding cigarette ashes a butts over the patio/terrace, this was apparent and not cleaned at all prior to my stay. Needless to say it was useless and to pacify me I was refunded $33. They don't use a professional company to clean, I watched a family cleaning the units throughout the week. Nothing against them because to their credit, from what I saw they were working their butts off, but you can tell the difference through the harsh chemical smells and spotty stains on the furniture. The final straw for me was the careless response this company had to being informed of a mosquito infestation during my stay, me getting bit and upon checking out I do believe I may have seen one, fortunately dead bedbug bug. The mattress didn't have a mattress cover only a larger sheet. This company doesn't charge much for the stay so I guess this is one of those circumstances where you "get what you pay for". What concerns me most is some issues may potentially pose health risk and overall I truly believe this advertisement paints a false picture and unfortunately so because I wanted to love Abode as much as I loved my visit to Philly. If you plan on visiting look for my reviews of other locations in the area."

"Terrible. Stairs stairs and more stairs. Not suitable for anyone with mobility disabilities and not advertised as such. Tried to cancel because we could not stay due to the stairs. No refunds despite not even staying at the property. Building is next to a high way between two parking lots. Cheap (but cute) furnishings. Funny smell in the apartment."
