"I made an attempt to attain counsel for my landlord/tenant situation here at the Roosevelt Building and was quickly referred to the Neighborhood Legal Association by the receptionist that I spoke with. When I tried to inquire about other possible counsel the receptionist said that if I had enough money to afford a lawyer then why not just get another apartment ! Talk about having a wow moment.... Horrible service at least for those that they assume to be low income!"

I actually hesitated and only did so because I was told I had to in order to be removed from the mortgage. Well its been 9 months and I'm still on it. "These lawyers are a joke! They literally screwed $2000 out of a single mother who was just trying to buy a home. I gave them $2000 for a retainer, and the only things that they did was send one letter, receive one letter, and write-up a motion that was never filed. They ended up charging me more than $2000, and threatening me with collections fpr $500 more when all they did was charge me for talking to me and each other. Justin Kovic was completely unprofessional by not replying to me in a timely manner, and constantly said he had to check with attorney Stoner over and over again, then billed me for it because he didn't know what he was doing. I had to do all of the leg work and research in finding the documentation on my case. The last I spoke with them, they said oh well you might not even need to do anything. In other words, I paid them $2000, they are billing me almost $500 more, just for them to say I should have never done anything to begin with. I am reporting them to the disciplinary board. I believe their mothers would be really disappointed in them."
