"If I could give this location zero stars...then I would. Do not get serviced at this West Windsor Pep Boys location. They charge for things that are stated '"free" online. They charged me for other minor items; like caps that go on my lug nuts, to increase my bill(my own caps). Their prices are higher than other locations. They take your car and just hold it, so you cannot go elsewhere. They do not know what they are doing at all! They take entirely too long for a customer with an appointment (3 hours to install tires with all of the parts in their possession). Customer service goes out of the window when you address the issues. The employee became very condescending when I told him I have experience with getting my tires changed and the time it takes. He then goes to the back with the other employee in the front to talk about it. Suddenly, my car was finished! When I asked for the manager's information; the employee tossed the card at me with a nickname written down. When I asked for more information about the manager and the regional manager; he then asked if there was a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if he gave me bogus information. There are no business cards with any manager names or contact information. It is a scam. I wish I read the reviews before being serviced. Definitely an uncomfortable experience... when you trust a company and their services, but after the service they leave you not trusting them or the people they have representing them...BIG RED FLAG! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!"

"I recently had a flat tire, over 1 hour away from home. I went to the closest pep boys in Willow Grove, PA and they refused to service me! I asked for a specific tire as I am in car business for over 5 years so I knew exactly what my car needed. The service manager Kenneth at willow grove refused to help me and demanded that he can only put on a $400 tire or I can go somewhere else to get help. In a panic, and disgust I called the West Windsor pep boy’s location and asked them if they had my tire size and if I can get my vehicle towed over there before closing. (YES! I rather spend the same $400 on a tow and new tire simply due to how I was treated and knowing that I was being lied to) I’m upset I didn’t get the man’s name on the phone who helped me because after listening to what happened he told me I will be fine, stay calm and he’s going to make a phone call to see if I can get help. Within not even 5 minutes a different service manager at the willow grove location said he would be more than happy to put on the requested tire ($150) so I can get back home safely. I have no idea why I was refused service from Willow Grove location, especially that late at night when it was dark and very cold but I am so grateful for the man at this West Windsor location!!!! who truly made a scary night for me as a young woman, turn into a decent one. Thank you for calling your district manager to help a customer in need!!! Thank you for not trying to scam me or get extra money out of me because I am a woman. Definitely appreciated, word of mouth goes a long way. This location will always earn my business and the business of others especially in an emergency like the one I was in."

"I went to Pep Boys Rt 1 West Windsor/Princeton for a standard oil change last week, and I did not request tire rotation or any tire work. I was given a free tire inspection report with photographs sent to me via email and text from Pep Boys. After two days of driving my car, a loud thumping noise came from rear right tire. I pulled over to check and 3 of my lug nuts were missing. The tire was being held in by 2 nuts only and lock nut was also gone. This is Totally ridiculous and dangerous! I had my child in the car and if I didn't pull over immediately to check the tire, the wheel could have fallen off of my car and hit and killed a pedestrian, hurt or kill us, and probably damage property in its direct path. Pep Boy denies this happened while I brough my car there for an oil change, but obviously, they did handle my tires as they gave me a Tire Inspection Report!!!! How can you complete a tire inspection report and not feel if the wheel is loose, or if the tires wobble while the car is up the air? This wasn't the case, regardless, as my tire was fine before I even brought my car there for service. After receiving a reply from Pep Boys (Below) from this original review, I was called and told to return to store to speak with the manager. However, the manager was rude, defensive, and untruthful. I was told that they did not touch my tires and when I questioned this, the manager became louder and defensive. He then claimed that if I didn't believe him, I could watch the live-recorded footage from the service date. Upon agreeing to see the footage, he walked me to a computer screen area and suddenly couldn't 'find it anymore.' I simply wanted replacement nuts for my tire ($5 - $10 bucks from Advanced Auto/Amazon), but was met with more displeasure and obvious dishonesty, as the manager failed to provide any video feed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS HERE FOR SERVICE, THE 15% DISCOUNT YOU ARE GETTING IS NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE!! PAY THE EXTRA 20$ ELSWHERE AND KNOW YOU WILL AT LEAST BE SAFE AND NOT RIDICULED FOR BRINGING THIS TO THIER ATTENTION. -5 RATING!!"

"I brought my car in for a tire repair and wheel alignment. They communicated the steps in the service with me and had the car ready. After picking up the car I noticed that the alignment of the steering wheel was slightly off, and when I returned with the issue Chris was extremely quick to help resolve the issue. I was able to speak with Ed, who worked on my car, and he discussed the issues I was having and provided some context for me. They resolved the problem and my car is running great!"
