"KOTM has been an awesome place for my children. The staff has been so welcoming and friendly to myself and my children. My daughter has not been in daycare since she was an infant and returned at 3. She came to this center as a very shy and quiet little girl, and it was hard for her to speak clearly. After only 2/3months of being here my daughter was able to clearly express herself and came out of her shell. She has learned number, shapes, colors, letters and more. On top of all of the learning aspects offered here, they also incorporate teachings of The Bible. It has been nothing short of awesome at KOTM."
"My son was physically abused when he was in the 3 y.o class on September of 2018. This went on for around 3-4 weeks. We did call child services and they sent a detective to investigate, but everyone was covering each other’s back and no one gave detailed information to the detective. My son was fine in the 2 y.o class with Ms. Ashley, but when he was transferred to Ms. Erin he would scream and grabbed my legs begging me not to leave him at KOTM. He didn’t speak much at the time so when he constantly came home with marks on his arms he couldn’t tell us who did it. The people in charge tried to look the other way, and the teachers never knew anything. One of the teachers wouldn’t speak to me about the issue with my son inside the facility but she stopped me outside of the building to tell me that I should comunícate better with my husband because he kept calling every day to ask about what was going on with my son... so disrespectful. We pulled him out at the end of September. Could not bear to leave him with Ms. Erin one more day. Do not send your kids here."
"This place is the worse place, they deserve to be shut down, they are very racist, all that they care about is their money, when it was initially opened my 11 year old and 9 year old went there about 6 years ago I believe. It was a half day, Ms. Katie was the director, during that time, everything was great, since I had a great experience previously, I decided to take my 4 year old son there, they discriminated against him. I was pregnant and was having health issues so I decided to wait till everything stabilized before I take action. I will be reporting this place to child protective services, they deserve to be shut down. I took my son from them in 1 month, they put my son who just turned 4yr in 5 year old class, every single day they are giving me a compliant that my son will not participate or sit quietly in class and has been having accident, they demoted him to 2 year old class to be potty trained for 2 weeks. My son NEVER had an accident and the instructor recommended him to be removed from the class because he doesn't need to be potty trained and doesn't require any prompting or assistance. Their 2 yr old instructor is African American, very nice woman, after they put my son back to 5 year old class, the complaint started coming again, I realized that there were no connection with the instructor and my son, very mean/rude instructor. They finally realized that my son is in wrong class after several phone call to Leslie Assistant director and she apologized that it was an oversight so they are moving my son to 4yr age appropriate class. I moved my son to World Performance Academy, my son fits in well, World Performance Academy is way cheaper, I was pay $200 in Kids on the Move and now paying $150 with World Performance Academy, My son is now 5yr, in 5yr old class, able to read and write, ready for kindergarten . Once again, do not bother yourself to take your child to this place. I had extremely bad experience with this place. Save your money and save your child self esteem. They abused children. Thank you"
"I visited several preschools when I was deciding where my oldest would attend and this place was recommended to me by neighbors. Ultimately, I decided on another facility because Kids on the Move seemed more of a "day care" with expected day care hours and I was only looking for a few hours a week of preschool. However, the place was clean. The staff seemed very friendly, kind, caring, and professional. I would have felt comfortable enrolling my kids here had it been what we were looking for."
"when my daughter first joined the school i was very happy with her teacher and the experience she was having being a student there. A couple months into the school year her teacher quit and they were having trouble hiring someone. I was told by other staff they the kids are frequently grabbed by the arm and yelled at in an aggressive manor. But it wasn't until my child began acting out that i was determined to find another school. My child would cry every morning not wanting to stay there when i left which was the first sign. She would cry hysterically and the school would call me and tell me to come pick her up. A member of the staff told me that the teacher or the aid would provoke the children to set them off. It was extremely disappointing to hear because ive heard such great things about the school but i do not feel they have the adequate management for the children. The ratio was always off and the classes were always over capacity. I would not recommend putting a child into this school unless they really work on their structure and hire more qualified staff."
