Riccardo's Pizza & Restaurant

"Better than expected! We were looking for a local pizza place for takeout and were a bit hesitant to try Riccardo's because of the mixed reviews, especially Yelp. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find the pizza was pretty good! We got an individual white pizza, an individual "The Works" pizza, and an order of honey hot wings to share (for two). The pizzas had good flavor, the crust was soft, and the portions were decent. The wings were pretty tasty as well, and the honey hot sauce was amazing! Speaking of honey, I decided to buy the bottled honey since that's what they're known for and it is actually REALLY GOOD on pizza and in tea (and I dont even like honey!) It just give pizza an extra kick and zing because the honey is infused with chiles. Further, the staff was pretty friendly, though the wait was a bit long for takeout (about 20 minutes, though this was Friday evening). One downside is that The Works is UGLY looking because they do not cook the vegetables into the pizza; it looks like they just plop the veggies on top after they cook the pizza. We ended up adding some mozzarella cheese on top and melting it in our oven at home so that the veggies felt more cooked into the pizza. I'm also not sure if they vegetables were super fresh. They looked and felt a bit off. Overall, not the best pizza I have ever had, but Riccardos is a great standby if we ever need pizza in a pinch! I'll also keeping enjoying the bottled honey for other meals and drinks at home!"

"Ricardos pizza is my family’s go to take out! My kiddos love their pizza, husband loves the wings and cheese fries, and I always look forward to my Buffalo chicken cheesesteaks! Also grab a bottle of the mikes hot honey. I put it on everything! Including a charcuterie board I made for a party everyone loved it! Thank you guys for being amazing!"

"Our family stayed at an airbnb in Beverly, NJ and chose Riccardo's Pizza because of their website pictures and large menu. We ordered online- which gave us awesome tracking. We had it delivered and the whole family said, WOW- everything was more than we expected- portion sizes, taste, the way we could serve it. What a treat! The Honey Pizza was just one of the big hits, as were the other pizzas, sauces, fries, super made subs and more. TONY really knows how to make his customers happy! Highly recommend!!!"

"I really don’t understand how a pizza like this even gets made. I ordered a half the works pizza and I while I did want a lot of topping this is not at all what anyone would expect out of a pizza. We had also ordered one of the paninis with roasted peppers and broccoli and the entire thing just tasted reminiscent of throw up. The ingredients dont seem bad quality and the pizza by itself was decent but whatever is going on in the flavor department and the insane amount of toppings is literally disgusting. I live close by so I ordered out of convenience but I don’t think I will again. The customer service is pretty good but everything else out of this experience was pretty terrible."

"EDIT: 1/3/23: I received a hand written apology letter in the mail today for the orders we’ve gotten recently. This was very much appreciated, thank you for that! It truly shows the love the staff has for its customers! I changed my rating because of this. Original Post 12/28/22: I love ordering from here and have been for years, but my last few orders have been rough. At one point I ordered bbq wings and got like no sauce on them. Last night we ordered a snack pack with wings, mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli. While the wings and fried ravioli were good I only got 1 mozzarella stick. Tonight we also ordered for our company who we had over and we got pasta and there was barely any pasta in the container, like two fork fulls. We also got another order of mozzarella sticks again and barely got any. Not sure who’s been in the kitchen lately but they have been skimping. I love the food from here but i’m going to have to change places if the food keeps coming like it has. Photo of the bbq wings attached from an order a few weeks back."
