"Steve is the best attorney I have ever worked with. From our first meeting, he explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside of our meetings. If anyone is looking for a knowledgeable attorney at a great price, then go to Steve."
"Steve was amazing!!! He was so helpful and made me super confident throughout the whole process. I am very satisfied with my experience and the outcome of my case."
"The Law Office of Stephen P. Shepard 402 W. Pennsylvania Avenue Towson, MD 21204 August 28, 2023 Re: Representation for Driving with a Revoked License Steve and Amanda (“paralegal”) – Accept this as formal notification that your services are no longer needed or desired for my case. You have been less than prepared and unprofessional. And now you want more money? I’m confused as to why since you have literally done nothing but show up late, seemingly confused, ill-prepared and disheveled to court twice. And let’s not forget that you ruffled the judges feathers by requesting a late court time due to your inability to be in court by 9:00 am. Before both court appearances I have had to reach out to YOU to see if we were still on, what time you were going to meet me and to see if you needed any information from me. Your information gathering is very odd. You seem to be unable to have an actual live conversation with me your client. You use a rubric of questions that I assume you feel are just general enough to get you what you need. You come off as cold, unprepared and disinterested. That would all be good IF when we stepped into the courtroom and in front of the judge your lawyerly skills became engaged, and you sparkled. You stutter and stumble over yourself. You do NOT present the court with ANYthing relevant. You allow yourself to be talked over. You basically roll over and say “yes please, I don’t need any lubricant”. You didn’t bother to bring any of the supporting documents to prove that I’ve fulfilled the requirements as established by the MVA. Why? Because you never asked for them. Because you are disinterested. Because you Never followed up with me until the afternoon before we were due to appear in court. Why don’t you KNOW? And I’m not going to just skim past the fact that your personal hygiene is an issue. As a “professional’ and someone who feels it appropriate and necessary to point out to me how to look and dress when going to court, how do you justify your appearance? Sir, you are dirty, smelly and disheveled. You need to be clean, showered, shampooed, clean under your fingernails, wear clean clothes, clean your glasses, etc. perhaps some cologne once you are clean. Your dirty dusty appearance only lends to your ineffectiveness. We (you, your wife/”paralegal” and I) had worked out payment arrangements that included me paying you some cash and then me cleaning your apartment. The cleaning of your apartment had to be discontinued for reasons best discussed elsewhere since those reasons aren’t relevant to the case or your inability to serve as my attorney. I am requesting a detailed accounting of your expenses to date regarding my case. I would expect to have this no later than 08/31/2023. I am requesting that this detailed accounting be sent to me both via email and USPS. I realize that it may go without saying, but I am also formally requesting that you file whatever motion or paperwork you are REQUIRED to file in order with withdraw your appearance as my attorney. I am requesting that this withdrawal be filed with Carrol County courts by Close of Business on 08/29/2023 and that copies of said documents be forwarded to me both via email and USPS. In closing and to reiterate, Steve and Amanda Shepard you are both fired. I no longer want the services of The Law Office of Stephen P. Shepard. Sincerely, Nicole Ellis And today is September 2 2023 and he has yet to do anything but block me and not respond!!"
"Mr. Stephen P. Shepard Esquire. You have another satisfied client. I have already recommended others to file you in their Rolodex for future legal matters. I was amazed with the results of my case. Settled earlier than the estimated time given. No hand holding, just results. What’s the chances of finding a very experienced lawyer, honest and true to their word. Was worth every dime spent. Hope I never need you again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to call your office. Thank you, I very much appreciate it. Aaron Baltimore County, Md"
"Professionally effective. I obtained the services of Mr Shepard on short notice and within 30 days my case was dismissed. He took care of all relevant work required, even took care of the expungement process - all I had to do was be present in court. All of this coupled with the fact that I wasn't able to produce the retainer fee in one payment (due to my financial situation) and Mr Shepard allowed me to make bi-weekly payments, it delights me to strongly recommend the services of The Law Office of Stephen Shepard to any and all who are in need of Apex representation."
