"I’m so sick of the service in Pete’s. I’m so pissed off about these seeded cheesesteak rolls they just automatically serve you without you even asking for it. Every time I place an order for a cheesesteak, I get a seeded roll. I didn’t ask for a seeded roll, so don’t give me one. When I ask for a plain cheesesteak roll, I end up with a seeded cheese steak roll. When you ask the cook why do y’all keep putting my cheesesteak on a seeded roll his favorite line is all the customers love the seeded roll. No all the customers don’t love the seeded roll because I don’t like my cheesesteak on a seeded roll. The seeded roll shouldn’t be automatically served because you don’t know, who is allergic to seeded rolls or buns. The plain roll should automatically be served because it’s a plain roll. All cheesestaks should be placed on a plain roll unless a customer ask for a seeded roll. I heard a woman tell the cook one day you gave me a seeded roll, and I’m allergic to seeds. The cross eyed cook. He had to remake her cheesesteak because she was allergic. The last cheesesteak I ordered, I returned because it was on a seeded roll. Who eats a cheesesteak on a seeded roll??? I tried to order a cheesesteak tonight. I asked for a plain roll, and they said all they have are seeded rolls. I said never mind, I don’t want nothing at all. I just ordered a cheesesteak from “Lebel” instead on a nice plain extra soft roll. Every other pizza store serves plain rolls with no problem. They serve you what they want you to have, instead of serving what you ask and paying hard earned money for. The seeded rolls are always a problem here at “Pete’s Pizza” on 52nd && Haverford, and they don’t care at all."

"This IS THE LAST TIME I'm getting anything from here. I ordered a large veggie pizza with pepperoni and extra sauce, and I specifically asked for EXTRA sauce and when I received my pizza there was NO sauce to be found. I DIDN'T ASK FOR EXTRA LESS ! Where is the pizza sauce? These people can't even have the right current year on the receipt. Check photos"

"When in the city 2 days ago my son mentioned the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza from Pete’s. We stopped at the 52nd Street location & ordered a pizza to go. The customer service was excellent, the wait was exactly what we were told, 15 minutes. We were thanked for stopping in. The pizza was just as we remembered it. We took half of it home & the rest of our family was looking for more…lol Great quality as usual"

Is the problem. I ordered through Uber eats, which is annoying because you cannot order specifically. However Pete's elected to have an option to add comments to adjust or add to an order. Long story short, I ordered a pizza, I wanted pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese. The build your own option did not allow to add additional toppings so I was forced to select the specialty pizza ( keep in mind, this option is already MORE MONEY) I choice their supreme and in the comments asked to remove mushrooms onions and anchovies and requested to add extra cheese. I also ordered loaded fried and in the comments requested extra cheese. Once order was placed I called to confirm my selections. The rude incompetent male worker states I CANNOT add extra cheese because it didn't charge me but the store COULD remove the toppings I asked removed?!?!?! Because they can't charge me properly?? First of all, how can you remove and not add??? If it was an additional cost, I would have been happy to pay just adjust the total. Apparently they couldn't do that. Which is a lie, it was done previous when I ordered. But further more, I asked to remove 3 toppings and add cheese , frankly that should've covered any additional costs. Furthermore, how can you remove but not add ?? Either you can do both or neither. Why have the comments section to adjust order, if that can't be done. Last, from a customer service and competency standpoint, why would you rather argue with a customer over something arbitrary when the service standard would be to kindly adjust and competently realize that the cost to remove the items I asked would wash out the cost of the extra cheese??? The workers continues to argue with me and threatens to cancel my order. This experience is a pure display of unprofessionalism, stupidity and lack of proper customer service. Hope this location enjoys losing a valued customer from this experience and many more after this review is posted. * WILL UPDATE what happens next if and when my food arrives***"
