She stayed late to make sure everything was closed out correctly so that we could close before the weekend started. "I overpaid at closing, and I had to call several months later for a refund of what I overpaid. Danielle is very hard to reach by phone. I left a message, but she did not call back. And when I call her, she told me she sent the check already. However, she did not check my closing documents for my mailing address nor care to call/email me to verify my mailing address before sending the check. Now the company is asking me to pay them $35 to cancel the check before they would send out another check to my correct mailing address. Why should I pay $35 for their carelessness? Plus, the check was only $20. They should own up to their mistake and send me another check for $20 to my correct mailing address. As it turns out, the location that they claim they sent the check to never received the check. I asked to send the check again, but never heard back."

"I obtained a mortgage with my daughter so that I could purchase a condo. There was money left over from settlement that was to come back to me. The check was cut in both our names. We explained that we didn't have a joint bank account and asked could the check be written to just one of us, didn't matter which one. Of course they said no. They said just sign the back and deposit it. Well of course none of our different banks would take it. We had to open a joint account just to deposit this check. I found them to be very uncaring and unresponsive to our needs."
