Reviews of Black Wolf Automotive Specialties
"These folks care about the car and the driver. They're upfront about work, costs, time, and options. When they give you an estimate, that's the estimate. If they get near its max, they call and ask what options you prefer. No jerking around, no rip offs, no surprises. I brought them the car my dad was still working on for me when he died, and they treated the entire affair with honesty and skill."
"After working at this establishment for almost 2 years, I have learned the ins and outs. They are a restoration company with a main focus of developing software for automotive shops. The majority of time spent from the owners is on creating a software program to sell to other shops as a shop managing tool. When I worked there, we only had 1 tech with any actual antique car history, everyone else was a beginner tech trying to start out in the auto field. If you feel like taking your car there, interview the technicians and see what kind of experience they have. The "Rules of the road" is a document that covers the shop from any liability to the vehicle and had been drawn up from several lawyers. Do your diligence when choosing a repair shop and be sure to ask plenty of questions. These people are amateurs at best in the restoration world. There is no passion for restoration at this shop, nobody owns a classic car, or even a hot rod."
"What a great place to take your antique and classic cars to get repaired. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable... With talent and skills that are not easy to find these days, when you reach the point where I cant do any more yourself, take it to them!!! From a simple carburetor adjustment to a full on restoration they can do it all!"
"In addition to the quality of workmanship being outstanding, I found the thoroughness, patience and honesty of communication to be even better. I had two major services performed on my '72 F-250. I had a completely new wiring harness installed in the vehicle and it is super clean, probably better than the factory electric, and no doubt better looking. These people obviously took pains to make it good AAaaaaand make it look good. I also requested a complete diagnostic on all parts and systems of the vehicle. Using the report generated from that, I worked w/ Matt R. on a prioritized plan of attack based on money, time, urgency and importance. Matt was so patient, and never once tried to upsell me. He was honest, and even did the thing where he suggested I not have them perform something because it was either not particularly important and/or was something I could do myself. Also, the diagnostic in and of itself, even if I would have had no other services provided, is worth it's weight in gold. Now I have a checklist and parts list (with parts numbers) for things I can do myself. And for a mechanically inclined, but not entirely knowledgeable guy like me, that's the perfect amount of information for me to get going. Also, these folks are true to their "Rules of the Road," so read them. These people aren't techs, their true blue mechanics which means they're part engineer and part artist. The works takes time, but these people are highly skilled and they care about the end product. Go with Blackwolf...you'll be very satisfied."
"I had been searching for a classic 70s muscle car for several months and Chris was extremely helpful in providing tips and information about these cars. When I got my 1973 Dart, it had a rear main and pinion oil leak which Chris fixed very quickly and at a great price. I have been to and talked to a lot of different shops and you honest will not get a better experience. With Black Wolf, you don't get treated like just one of many customers, they remember who you are and you can really talk to them as a friend. Really one of the best experiences at Black Wolf."
