"Upon entering “The Catty Corner,” my senses were assaulted not by the aroma of food, but by a pungent mix of stale beer and despair. The decor, reminiscent of a garage sale gone awry, provided the perfect backdrop for what would be an unforgettable dining ordeal. Our server, who seemed to have mastered the art of invisibility, graced us with his presence only after a spirited game of hide and seek. When asked for recommendations, he shrugged, muttering something about everything being “sort of edible, I guess,” setting the tone for what was to come. The menu, a greasy pamphlet that had seen better days, offered dishes with names that promised much but foreshadowed the culinary calamities that awaited. Opting for the Cheese Steak I was presented with a dish that could only have been a surprise if one expected something palatable. The meal, a confusing amalgamation of textures and temperatures, seemed to defy not just expectations but science itself. The “ambience” was further enriched by a playlist that oscillated between funeral dirges and techno polka, at volumes that made any form of conversation a Herculean effort. This, however, turned out to be a mercy, sparing us from discussing the food. Attempting to salvage the evening with a drink, I ordered their house special, The Regrettable Decision. It lived up to its name, delivering a concoction so potent, it could strip paint and, I suspect, a few years off one’s lifespan. In conclusion, “The Catty Corner” is a masterclass in disappointment, managing to underwhelm on all fronts spectacularly. It stands as a beacon of what not to do in the hospitality industry, a stark reminder that sometimes, eating in isn’t just a better option—it’s a lifeline."
"Been coming here since they open and order maybe 2-3 times a week. Always have great service by the bartenders and delivery drivers. Only ever had one issue which was I always order extra sauce and there was a handful of times that I did not receive it and I personally went to Jay and he fixed the issue like a professional. I’ll be back again very soon!"
"Haven't been here in 30 years. Wow is Jay doing it right. Absolutely the best wings I've ever had. The pizza was darn good too. The only thing better than the food was the service. Well done! I will return."
"My first time here, can’t complain about the service as it was excellent and the food was very well cooked. The wings were great and the calzone was really tasty."
"Went to Catty Corner Neighborhood Pub & Pie on Friday hoping for some good food. I usually only get a couple of slices of pizza but decided to try something new this time. I ended up ordering a catty melt, well done, with no onions or peppers. They messed up my order and still gave me onions and pepper. I wasn’t too upset, it’s not like i’m allergic to them, and it’s something I could easily take out of my burger. Thank goodness they accidentally added that because if not I could have easily BROKEN my teeth. I opened my burger to pick out the onions and peppers but never could have imagined what else could have been on my burger. A SCREW was sitting right inside. I took my burger to the owner, he apologized and said he would bring out a new burger for me. The new burger was thankfully screw free but they rushed it out so fast that it was no where near well done, it was extremely pink. I took the burger back again and only then did he mention the burger would be taken off the bill. Now on my third burger, I guess they would rather be safe than sorry, they took off the mushrooms from my burger and my burger was so “well done” that it was stiff. So not only did my first burger have onions, peppers, and a SCREW in it, the second one was severely undercooked, and the third one was overcooked and missing toppings that I wanted in it. Definitely won’t be visiting again, not even for their pizza. I also want to add that our server was extremely helpful and more apologetic than the owner himself."
