"I've been going here ever since I was little, it's a lovely historical park. Many different areas where you can see old houses or ruins, many areas of Maryland history, the parks past, current ongoings, etc. Most of the paths are well known and easy to find, but there's a few that are somewhat out of the way and neat to know about once you find them to show to friends. They hold really fun summer camps every year that teach how to survive in the wild and teach you about how the native Americans used to live, how to cook in the wild, etc. There's also a very large history building where people will study things found around the park and keep historical pieces. You can get tours through it but I'm pretty sure that's just for the summer camps, not entirely sure. There's also a small museum that's very well put together and interesting / fun to go in. They hold a Celtic festival every year."
"I love Jefferson Patterson! It's got plenty of trails and water and wildlife. Picture is from the Turkey Trot, held there annually. They hold lots of events there, some free, some cost. Kids Day on the Farm is probably our favorite."
"Beautiful park. Great photo opts, and wonderful field trips"
"Lovely Park with interesting history regarding the War of 1812"
"Very nice park, but we went for pints and pups and the event was very disappointing. 2 breweries, 1 food truck and very few other vendors. There was only 1 dog there that was adoptable. The tickets were not expensive but the event was way over sold."
