&pizza - Reagan

"I usually love &pizza but this location is pretty bad. The food was good but they were missing some of their typical topping sauces at the end. My issue was with the staff - incredibly rude, clearly didn't want to be there and acted like I was wasting her time. She was making comments about the toppings, her coworker looked confused ("why are you talking in this tone?" type of look) and she then turned to her and in Spanish said "I am saying this to her." Needless to say, I am pretty upset."

"So I tried to eat here tonight but the staff had no desire to serve me. I stopped by a little after 9. Two employees were hiding in the back hoping that no one would see them. Well I did and stood there until one decided to get off the phone. I stood there in amazement as she put down her phone and proceeded to pick up gloves without washing her hands. She then tells me that it's cash only. Honestly I would have put together some cash to pay for the pizza but the fact that she didn't wash her hands was all I needed to know. I immediately walked out. I hope others have a better experience than I did."

"The pizza tastes great. The price is reasonable (especially if you compare it to the $11 hamburger at five guys next door) for the large size pizza. I got lucky with the guy over there who seems to be the main manager. Just like the other reviews say of this place, I first talked to the lady who is there and she couldn't even understand what I was asking for until the guy came and took over and provided excellent service and great tasting pizza. I really hope people at &pizza do something about the ladies who provide service here. They are missing a great opportunity otherwise."

"I first discovered &pizza while on a bus tour in DC. At first I didn't notice their unique long and flat pizza boxes, then I started seeing them everywhere. People in suits, people in uniforms, people dressed normally, people of all ages were carrying their boxes. Seeing this, I had to try their pizza. I finally got to try their pizza on the way home at the Airport, and it wasn't easy. My flight was at a satilite terminal and &pizza was at the opposite end of the airport in the main terminal. Needless to say, after going from one end of the airport to the other and back again, while going through two TSA checkpoints, I finally had their pizza in hand. I ordered the Maverick and it was quickly and freshly made with high quality ingredients. The employees were friendly and the restaurant itself was cool lookIng with lots of marble. After taking a bite, I can safely say it was really good. What I find interesting about &pizza is the founder, Michael Listoria. He kinda looks like Jared Leto and sounds like Steve Jobs. He is socially conscious, cares about his workers, and says all the right things. He is charasmatic and I'm facinated to see how far and how big he will take his company. So if you are in the East Coast, check out &pizza."
