"Nice low key area with lots of trails. The butterfly garden is very close to Rt 4 and parking, so easy to get in and out. There are a few miles worth of trails with a picnic area and a boardwalk that goes out to the water. This is a pretty narrow boardwalk so social distancing is difficult. It is close the Jug Bay Wetlands. Glendening is pet friendly as Jug Bay is not."
"The Glendening Butterfly Garden is a public area within the Glendening Nature Preserve in Lothian, Maryland just north of the Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. There's a small free parking lot just off of a highway you can park in. Once outside, you'll notice two barns, a house and the actual butterfly garden. The garden is small, but does attract quite a few butterflies that my toddler enjoyed seeing. There's a bench facing the garden to sit and enjoy the site. Behind the bench are two butterfly murals near one of the barns."
