"My friend and I decided to give Island Pizza a try after driving past it many times. Shoulda kept on driving! Host was friendly and professional, but our waitress arrived rude and clearly unhappy she was sat another table when it was not busy at all. After being carded for drinks, we waited at least 5 minutes before a different woman arrived and rudely yelled for our IDs again, and we complied without comment. After waiting yet again even longer for drinks we realized the second lady walked off with our IDs, so I had to go looking for her to get our property back. I am 29 and my friend is 24, we both have legal, valid non-expired photo drivers licenses. After such unfounded hostility before we even got a food order in let alone drinks on the table, we walked out before it got any more bizarre. I am an 11 year bartender that has worked both in PA and LA, so I usually tip extremely generously as well. I’m very understanding and patient, having worked in restaurants the majority of my life. No exaggeration when I say this was the most incompetent and pathetic experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Hoped it was an isolated incident but after speaking with friends they too have had similarly bad experiences here. Making sure everyone I know in the industry throughout southeast PA avoids this obscure and outdated looking building with miserable wait staff, and I have never once written a negative review. Immediately had an amazing time somewhere else, and I suggest you do the same!"

"We've only been at island pizza once, but our food was overly fried. Bone in and boneless wings, onion rings and french fries were all a bit too tough to eat. The hot sauce on the wings tastes good as did my son's cheesesteak sandwich. It might be a good idea to ask the waitress/waiter what they recommend."

"We’ve always wanted to try out Island Pizza. Our service wasn’t very good. Our waitress was super distracted by the desk. We ordered mozzarella sticks with our pretzels bites and didn’t get the pretzels bites until our pizza was coming out. We also had another waitress ask us if we were missing our appetizer. (Which we were.) Our waitress never asked if we wanted refills we had to wait until our pizza was delivered and ask for them. Nothing special about the place stood out. The woman’s bathroom had urine all over the floor. I was advised by another customer while walking in. There was also spaghetti on my seat before I even sat down. The Buffalo chicken pizza was good. Our boardwalk pizza was cold. The mozzarella sticks were good. Our pretzels bites were hard and not recommended. Overall we finally got to try Island Pizza and probably won’t be back."

"We tried the Cayman stuffed pizza. It was very hefty and tasty! It survived a 40 minute drive home quite well."

"Had always wanted to try this place. The parking lot is always full which tells me it's a local favorite. I wanted so much to like it but didn't get that feeling. I guess I was thinking palm trees, tiki torches/umbrellas, and island music. It was just a typical bar with typical bar food. I had a grilled shrimp salad and think they forgot to grill the shrimp (see photo)."
