Reviews of Pizzolis Pizzeria
"We're from Detroit. This place has pretty damn good Pizza. Small little place inside though."
"Just moved to the area and needed a bite to eat on a rainy saturday night and found this spot near Logan Circle!. And boy am I glad! Its tucked away and you could easily miss it! But you cant miss the flavor these pizzas pack!. We got a Greek gourmet pizza and a side of garlic bread. The sauce that came with bread was amazing! Definitely not the Ragu marinara sauce I grew up eating. The pizza was cooked to perfection and to my liking, with bubbles and a soft and airy chewy crust that packed flavor in every bite! Good pizza in a safe and convenient location!"
"Delightful Slice of Heaven: Let me start by professing my undying love for pizza; it's a passionate affair. This particular pizzeria, I must admit, has me hooked on their pizza – it's that good! And trust me when I say, I haven't dared to venture beyond their scrumptious pepperoni slice. Yes, I said "slice," but don't let that fool you; one slice is all you need. They cleverly serve it as two slices fused together, cut into four perfect pieces. If pizza's your love language, this is the place to be, either for dine-in or delivery. However, my enthusiasm wanes when it comes to rating this establishment, and here's why: their customer service leaves much to be desired. The staff appears less than thrilled to be working here, and their demeanor towards customers can be quite frosty. I've even been scolded for the simple act of not disposing of my napkin in the trash bin; instead, I left it neatly on the pizza tray, hoping to save them the trouble of collecting it. To add a sprinkle of disappointment to the experience, they impose a 3% fee for credit card payments. I understand they incur charges, but it's disheartening to see this fee slapped on. It's a practice that's become all too common, where everyone seems to be passing on these costs to customers instead of incorporating them into their prices. What's more perplexing is that even when I pay in cash, I've still found myself saddled with the credit card fee. It appears they might be a bit uncertain about reversing the charge. Now, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt – perhaps the staff's attitude stems from being short-staffed. On one occasion, I observed ten people walk in, and it appeared that only one brave soul was holding down the fort. I'd kindly urge them to consider hiring some extra hands. In summary, if you're on a quest for pizza perfection, this place is worth a visit. Just don't expect a warm welcome, and if you're planning to pay in cash, do remember to mention it in advance to save that 3%."
"In DC for work and had a pizza craving. Conference center food is only tolerable for so long...ordered delivery from Pizzoli and the crust was top notch. Arrived hot with crispy edges and gooey cheese on top. Garlic herb sauce, fresh spinach, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. While the onions were a tad sweet for me, it hit the spot."
"Tastes like frozen pizza that was re heated like 3 times, and 10 dollars for pepperoni slice was nuts. But it saved my hunger at 11pm. Won’t come back. All those 5 star reviews are surely fake, all mention gluten free and veggie options, no one falls for that"
