"Pizza has gone downhill incredibly in the last five years. The servers are pretentious particularly the ones behind the counter. As for the atmosphere it’s dark and dingy with about eight booths. I rarely eat in there. I usually get takeout. When I get takeout. I usually have to wait outside in the freezing cold because they won’t get more than two people in at a time. I have not been back to Sabatini’s in well over two years and will not be going back anytime soon."
"I’ve been coming here since 2015 and if you want the best pizza and beer selection in not just NEPA but the country - this is it! World class craft beer and imported beer selection. Best selection of imported Belgian beer I’ve come ever come across"
"Stopped by Sabatini’s for lunch on a coworker’s recommendation for my first NEPA pizza experience. It did not disappoint. I got a small avellino with pickles (also a recommendation) and my coworker got an (unpictured) pie with hot sausage and banana peppers. The crust was nice and crispy with a good structure on both. I enjoyed the sweeter sauce more than I expected - especially to balance out the hot sausage. They have a sizable beer selection as well, and our server was quick to make a recommendation for options. Lived up to the recommendation and I will be back when I’m in the area again. Service was friendly and speedy. We ate in the original building and while yes, it’s older, it has character that you don’t get everywhere. Cash only but atm is available with a comparatively small fee if needed."
"Sabatini’s Pizza on Wyoming Avenue in Exeter, Pennsylvania is a family-owned restaurant that’s been around for 55 years. In addition to pizza, the venue also served soups and salads, wings, and subs. The place is popular among the local population and has a sprawling dining room with a bar and outdoor seating. We arrived on a Friday evening around 6:45 and could not get an indoor table. We were offered a seat at the bar or a table outside. Despite the cool-ish weather, we opted for the latter, which was disappointing. The patio sits just off Wyoming Avenue, which had heavy traffic, forcing us to use our outside a voice a little louder to be heard. Additionally, there was hardly any outdoor lighting, leaving us to eat mainly in the dark. Despite the heavy crowd, the service was great, and we were attended to fairly quickly by a pleasant gentleman. Although you can tell he was very busy, he did not seem the least bit frazzled, and kept an amiable attitude. All told, we waited approximately 20-25 minutes before our large pepperoni pizza reached our table. The pizza itself was underwhelming. The pepperoni was not sliced, but rather sprinkled on the pizza in tiny morsels. The underlying crust was thin, dry, and bland, with a rather burnt taste which took away from the cheese and sauce flavors. The thin pizza and the cool weather made the pie rather unenjoyable, and by the time we were halfway through our meal, the cheese was cold and gritty. Sabatini’s is also known for their vast selection of beer and spirits, and is a beer lover’s dream. I ordered a Brasserie Dupont Saison Farmhouse Ale, which was very delicious, a rather sweet ale that held a nice head throughout. I will definitely come back to take an extended gander at Sabatin’s selection and buy a six-pack (or two, or three). The beer coolers sit alongside a long wall inside, and one can buy even more beer located on nearby stands/shelving. Sadly, I will not be back for the pizza. Although the restaurant obviously has its followers, I didn’t find it particularly appealing. With an overwhelming abundance of pizza restaurants throughout the greater Wyoming Valley, you have to stand out. In my opinion, Sabatini’s failed in that regard."
"Leave the kids at home. I had been to the new building a few times with work friends and the atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. So we decided to take our family... So you have to go to a building on the other side of the parking lot if you have anyone under 21 and it is a much more dated room that's dark and feels cramped with small booths. The food was still the same great amazing pizza I expected but when it was time to pay they weren't able to take a debit card I had to use the ATM in the lobby. It's 2023 and the Bar building has been taking my card as payment for 2 years with no problem. It feels like the owners moved on and left the pizza building to rot while they profit from the drinks across the parking lot. Despite all of this the pizza is great. It is only worth going if you have a group of adults that want to try the nicer side of the business."
