"Tregaron is my favorite quiet spot in DC. I used to live overlooking it from Macomb and over the years it’s been a place to feel at peace amid city life. I highly recommend taking a slow, mindful walk through and linking up with the main trails to the Zoo or Woodley. Cheers!"
"An interesting little patch of green space squeezed in among the houses in the neighborhood. The trails are pleasant and provide a nice walk in the shade under the trees, though it is quite compact. Easy access from connecticut."
"I photographed this elopement at the Tregaron Conservatory in Washington, D.C., I have had the pleasure of capturing many intimate and beautiful ceremonies. But this one was special. As the couple stood on the lush green lawn, surrounded by towering trees and fragrant flowers, I could feel the love and emotion radiating from them. After the ceremony, I followed the couple as they strolled through the garden, capturing the golden light of the setting sun and the joy on their faces. It was clear that this was a day that they would always remember, a day that was just for them. As I left the conservatory and headed back to the city, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to witness and document such a special moment. ig @iamthesam"
"Beautiful area for walking, hiking, running, and sitting. There lots of paths to explore, many are shady. There are little creeks and a large pond where you can find fish and frogs. Lots of benches to take a rest. My 4- and 6- year olds love exploring here. Plenty of signs for social distancing and wearing a mask."
"Hidden gem! Lots of fun little spots to discover while walking on the different paths. Only complaint was the maps were not the best. I didn't mind "getting lost" because I was exploring but it's not the best cut through. Great for a fun walk in nature! Make sure you bring bug spray."
