About Us
Darnestown Local Park is a charming 10-acre park located at 14211 Darnestown Road in Darnestown, Maryland, United States. This park is a popular tourist attraction featuring a playground, softball field, small multiuse field, and four pickleball courts on two tennis courts. Visitors can enjoy a fun-filled day with family and friends, playing various sports and enjoying picnics at the open shelter available for rent. The park was acquired by M-NCPPC in 1975 and continues to be a favorite destination for outdoor activities. Picnic shelter reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis from April 1 to October 31. For more information or to make a reservation, you can contact the Montgomery Parks Permit Office at 301-495-2525 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
