"Single day of skiing. Runs are long, conditions are typically very good. Very scenic skiing amidst beautiful mountain homes, that take you through 2 different tunnels. High speed 6 person lift makes wait times minimal."
"As far as managed mountains on the east coast, Timberline is up there with the few that stand out. There's frequently 90% of their runs open, and the whole experience is short of any real hiccups that can be expected at many resorts that fail to impress. However, that doesn't make Timberline a mecca of the east coast. The pricing options are incredibly inflexible. There is no breakdown between day and night lift prices, and it costs the same to use the lift on a day they close at 4:30pm as it does on a day they close at 10:00pm. Kid lift tickets are $70, and yes, that's to use *any* lift - including if your kid is only gonna use the bunny slope for an hour. Same goes for the adult tickets at $95. Bring your significant other who has never done snow sports before? Better hope they like it. I appreciate what Timberline is trying to do after taking over an area where one business had failed, and another one isn't managed that well. But it does seem they're nickel and diming the customers a bit like bigger western slopes do. However, this has definitely had the benefit of drawing tourism and jobs in to a small town, as well as carving a name out in the eastern US. It would just be nice to feel like you had a few more choices of how your money was spent."
"We are a family of 5 in Virginia and we all love to ski. Compared to all ski resorts in about 200 miles radius, Timberline has been our most favorite. They make fresh snow even when they get a slim chance, they groom runs daily, and provide daily updates. Their chairlift is better than most ski resorts. The chairlift operators watch out constantly, and are very helpful. We get season passes every year from Vails (not anymore!), and ski at Liberty, Whitetail and Seven Springs Mountains, but this year we also got season passes from Timberline. Vail is giant enough not to care for a few hundreds of their customers here and there, but Timberline seems to care for each and every individual client, and offers much more 5-star services, particularly the best snow, than Liberty, Whitetail, and Seven Springs combined. Please know that we understand, appreciate and are grateful for your excellent services!! Keep it up!!!"
"Our family group of 18 traveled from Alabama for a ski adventure -- ages 5 - 57 young. Every aspect was enjoyable, from groomed runs to the food and NYE celebration. It's clear the commitment through investment and employee training is paying off big dividends for continued success. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful, but a special shout out to Kimmy for all the coordination with our big group and Mikey for taking the time to tell us the Timberline Ski Resort story. We can't wait to come back!"
"You have outdone yourselves yet again. 19 of 20 trails open and in excellent shape. That’s amazing given this winter and the fact that it is 50 degrees at the mountain right now. (Nearly) first tracks on Off the Wall offered up some of the best conditions found there. Thunderstruck whales made that the most fun run. And as always, the team you’ve got goes above and beyond, from lifties to ticket counter, from food service to lesson instructors. We’ve tried to find a better all-around place to ski, eat, and hang by the fire. We haven’t found it yet. Many thanks."
