Reviews of Upper Schuylkill Valley Park
"Walking trails, animals to visit, and a beautiful river view. Nice place!"
"Very well taken care of. Make sure you meander around so you can see all the animals! When you first pull in, it doesn’t look like much. It took us about 50 minutes to see everything and then we ate lunch by the river. The only animals who were hiding were the bobcat and the raccoon, otherwise everything was visible. Tons of shade, but bring wipes or disposable table cloth as the birds also seem to enjoy the picnic area. There are bathrooms by the barn with sinks."
"It's a Montgomery County Park. The park is open from sun up to sun down, and the entrance is free. Wildlife Sanctuary encloses (both outdoor cages and climate-controlled buildings) many Pennsylvania-native reptiles, mammals, birds, insects (butterflies) and amphibians. It's surprisingly well-maintained facility. As you can imagine it's popular with young children."
"Very nice place to visit with family and friends. Birds flying around were interesting. Some farm animals and exotic ones to see. The trip was worth it. They have donkeys, a goat, turkeys, wolves, a fox, a linx, a porcupine, fish, turtles, eel, voltures, a bald eagle, owls, and other animals I cant recall. The river side was relaxing. Entrance is free and they accept donations. In the website there is a schedule for special presentation during the year which you have to rsvp and pay to participate. I liked this place but it could it have more farm animals."
