"Someone hit my car, and I needed some serious body work done. Penn Automotive was one of the body shops recommended by State Farm, and I must say, they did an excellent job. My car looks good as new, and the staff there are really kind and accommodating. Highly recommend them!"
"Had an excellent experience here after I hit a deer with my 2018 Honda CR-V. I loved the email updates, they kept me apprised at every turn and didn't do anything without my approval. I didn't get a rental car but they were very willing to help me understand the rental process and to make it easy for me. They are honest, friendly, and hardworking people, and they even washed my car after they fixed it! 10/10 would recommend."
"Penn Automotive were super communicative and talked me through the whole repair process and kept me posted on when it would be ready along with the price breakdown. It honestly brings me joy to get back into my repaired car."
"An incorrect diagnosis here cost me $390 and almost two months without a car. I brought my car in for an alignment because it was shaking and pulling to one side. I was told it wasn’t an alignment issue (correct) it was an issue with my ball joints (incorrect). I was charged $30 for this “diagnosis” which took all of three minutes. I took my car back to my mechanic and asked him to replace the ball joints. The new ball joints cost me $300 - but the mechanic told me after the fact he didn’t understand why I changed them, because they were in perfect condition. The new ball joints made zero difference to the shaking and pulling. I took it to a different shop (Monroe in Wilkinsburg) and the mechanic immediately diagnosed the issue (correctly, and for free) as being separated steel plates in my passenger tire. I had a set of spare tires at my house and switched them out and it fixed the issue. When I called Penn Automotive to let them know they incorrectly diagnosed the problem and I wanted my $30 back (this after they cost me $330), the owner doubled down on the diagnosis with all kinds of grand statements (that he had a hundred cameras that could prove it, that my mechanic is terrible and hates him because he steals his customers, etc). But he insisted he cared about the safety of the car and asked me to come back in so he could check it out. He told me he’d even do an alignment for free - it wasn’t about the money, he was just so very concerned for my safety. I was annoyed but frankly scared and appreciated that he wanted to make it right. I had my partner take in the car yesterday. He came home with a $150 bill, which included a charge for the alignment. Really??? After multiple visits and several calls with the owner, I give up."
"Had a small ‘keying’ scratch on my car. And, insurance approved a repair. The shop could have simply provided a quote. Instead, he explained how complex the repair would be for a 2 inch scratch. He suggested covering the scratch with nail polish. His approach and honesty is appreciated. He earned a future customer and a review from a person who rarely writes one."
