Humane Animal Rescue Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

"Edit: I need to amend my review and rating. It turns out pretty much every animal we have turned over to these people has been euthanized. Since there was no real rescue and/or rehabilitation, Please disregard my prior positive review. They don't seem to have any problem rescuing things like eagles, no matter their condition, but common animals seem to be quickly put down. The turkey in my pic was euthanized shortly after this photo was taken. I could euthanize animals myself without the $100 donation I paid every time I've dropped an animal in need off. I guess I'm helping to pay for eagle food, or unwittingly providing it? Lastly we were admonished for rescuing a pair of baby raccoons, when the organization website said no baby raccoons were being accepted. When we went for care advice, they asked us to turn over the animals and promptly euthanized them after saying we should have brought them in sooner. We were treated with arrogance and rudeness, and will never donate or turn over animals to them again. Disregard: We have rescued a few wild animals now, and HARP's wild animal rescue facility has been friendly, helpful and professional for them all. The turkey pictured was run over by a pickup that didn't even slow down, but thankfully HARP was able to care for it. Thank you for providing this useful service."

"What a great resource to have in the area. The folks here took in a little injured Robin fledgling that we had around the house. All workers/volunteers were very respectful and caring. Thanks for the work that you do!"

"Place is okay to get to just follow your GPS directions cuz it will have you turn around. If you are coming from the opposite direction of the side the driveway is on. The driveway is horrible and there's big deep ruts on each side and it's only one way so I ran into another car so it was a little bit of a challenge. And I drive a big truck and I didn't want to go in the ruts. Also, there is extremely limited parking so if you have any problems walking bring somebody with you. It's not a far walk from the additional kind of parking lot that they have but it is slightly uphill and it can be a challenge for somebody who's disabled or has a hard time walking. If you're going to do an animal drop off. I noticed that the signage is kind of lacking because I've never been here before and I had to go park in another area and walk up with the animal and really didn't know where I was going. I mean there's only a couple buildings but it was the further one of the two is where you do the animal drop off. It's very small, tiny room. Everyone was nice and of course they took the bunny and I gave a a small donation of formula."

"Took my cub scouts here for a visit and we had an amazing time. The boys learned so much. The staff is so nice and helpful. We couldn’t thank them more. Very neat place to take a tour. We were amazed by all of the wild animals and their stories"
