Reviews of Chuck E. Cheese
"Nice quiet spot for younger kids who aren't quite up for the high octane fun of Dave and Buster's. The game area was clean and well maintained. As it was our first time here after our own childhood romps in the heyday of Chuck E. Cheese, we didn't know where to start with the newer point system for games. However, the person at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. She patiently explained everything and gave us advice on which program was better for our little one (hour vs points). Overall, we had a lovely time at this CEC and will be back again."
"Walked in tonight at 810 they close at 9. We have a 2 year old that only lasts about 35 min so we figured that perfect. Also may I add we planned it out so it was NOT packed because the last 2 times going in here we bought a 60 minute unlimited play card and multiple children decide to follow us around trying to have us pay for them as well to play and I’m sorry I don’t mind if you get on the merry go round if there is open seats however I’m not your parent I work hard very hard for my money and I believe if I pay for a ride your parents should repay the favor by letting my child ride it while you pay as well…. However that’s never the case the parents aren’t anywhere to be found usually it’s happened enough times now that I plan it out so that we can have a fun time without being bombarded…. (NOT THE CHILDS FAULT EITHER just bad supervision)…. So with that Background we went in tonight so happy the lot was empty. And we were greeted by dejaun with a big ole sigh and a “are you serious” which is just a horrible way to treat customers…. So I replied and said oh we are dead serious you close at 9 thanks and she rolled her eyes and walked away.. I understand you want to make money and do the most minimal work but hey you get paid to put smiles on kids faces and this isn’t the first time you have had an attitude little one I have been in there plenty of times and you just stare at me while I’m trying to buy something and you don’t say a word. You my friend should think of a different job to get. And until you do I won’t be giving no more money to you Establishment which is sad cause my son loves chucky… by the way we left at 845. Rant over thanks. Going to be messaging corporate as well about you. Lesson from this should be you don’t know what people are going through so don’t be ignorant to someone whose just trying to give their child a pleasant experience without other kids trying to play games I am paying for my child to have fun with. Thanks"
"The basketball game didn’t have balls, the air hockey didn’t have a puck, the photo sketch booth didn’t have paper. We bring our kids here maybe once every 2-3 months and it never feels adequately staffed. It takes a long time to get anything, especially a beer. Although I am really happy that there IS beer The kids are always going to have fun, I just wish the experience came with better service and pizza"
"Had blast with my son and family members. We chose to play with a timed play pass. You are able to pause this to eat. Tickets are collected virtually on the play pass cards, you can scan them at a kiosk to keep track."
"For starters, it should be said that if you have fond memories of Chuck E. Cheese from your childhood in the 80s or 90s- it is no longer the same place. Granted, the majority of changes make sense for child safety and hygiene, but the prior whimsy is lost with the bright lighting, the less tight and packed design, and the lack of physical activities like a ball pit and play area. I remember it from my own childhood as a wonderful fever dream of blinking lights in the darkness and the desired chaos of youth, so it now feels very homogenized and boring. But with that being said, I took my now 7 year old there for her first "friends" birthday party, and everyone attending seemed to have a blast, as did my newr 2 year old son with what he was able to enjoy. There are still many varied arcade games and activities of that ilk, and the option to have a timed card or wristband instead of a pile of tokens streamlines and enhances the process. And the fact that my daughter and her friends got to go in the ticket "money booth" and grab for prizes amongst the swirling air was a lot of fun. And the food was actually decent, much better than I remember. I'd put their pizza just a rung below typical chains like Dominos and Pizza Hut, and the garlic butter crust was a nice touch. The cake was completely serviceable as well. And the staff made for a great experience, from our party liason keeping things (and hyped up kids) in smooth order, to the prize stand attendant who just let my daughter pick out whatever toy she wanted even if she didn't have the right amount of tickets since it was her birthday and she couldn't decide. Overall, it was a good experience, and worth the rather fair price for what was offered."
