"Carnegie Radiator (CR) was 1) more expensive than their competitors, 2) took longer than their own estimate, and 3) done unprofessionally: 1) Expensive - Took my vehicle in because I had no working AC. They determined that my evaporator core had a leak and needed to be replaced, as well as the accumulator. Carnegie Radiator's original estimate didn't include tax, etc. (which felt dishonest) but once I got the final tally it came to ~$1350. I got quotes from two other places that were hundreds cheaper, but my car was already there and I saw good reviews, so I went with Carnegie Radiator. 2) Late - I called and was told their first availability to inspect my vehicle was a week later. I brought my car the following Monday at 8am, got the diagnosis that afternoon, and was told the repair would be done by 'Thursday or Friday depending on when parts come in'. I called Friday morning and was told my vehicle wasn't 100% done and I'd have to wait until the following Monday. 3) Unprofessional - I picked up my car, and while pulling out of the parking lot noticed my seat belt buckle was missing. Did a U-turn only to be told the technicians were on lunch, so I'd have to wait until they got back. Turns out while rushing to put my dash back together they bolted the center console over my seat belt 'receiver' so they ended up having to spend 15 minutes unbolting things to pull the receiver back out. Other minor gripes include not putting my dash-cam's wiring back or even connecting it back to the fuse, and leaving oil spills on my bumper."

"Great experience! Safe bet! Pleasant people! Did the job for same over-the-phone rough estamate she gave me first. Those are hit and miss, but she hit the blind guess on the head. When I dropped it off, I requested a few more odd repairs, hood latches, parking brake cable, nothing was out of the question(and I hardly notice a difference from the original price!) They originally said it would be finished Thursday, they finished a week early! Couldn't be happier. Can't speak for everyone, but I know I'll be back for good service. *It's really nice to be able to use a local personal business owner's shop, and still know they have the same fancy equipment and expertise as the big boys. It's no so wonder this shop has survived the ages."
