Reviews of Puttery
"My husband and I went here on a Sunday afternoon. The woman at the front desk, Crystal, explained everything to us when we first arrived. She was just lovely. She took our coats and gave us the lay of the land. It was $15 for unlimited play, which we thought was a great deal. There are three courses, one downstairs and two upstairs. They were all themed differently, each with 9 holes. There are screens at the start of each hole where you input your score, much better than fumbling with the paper and small pencils . Throughout the course there are leaderboards that list the top players of the day and top hole in ones. There is a bar downstairs and upstairs. It was pretty quiet when we were there so only the downstairs bar was open. We had some beers, decent draft list and I had a vodka cucumber cocktail that was delicious. Oh and there's a tray area at the start of each hole to place your beverage on. They also have food but we didn't have anything as we had already eaten. My husband and I both golf and are pretty competitive with each other when it comes to mini golf. We thought that many of the holes were challenging at first but once you played a round or two, you could kind of figure out to play the hole best. But we did wind up playing a total of 5 rounds while we were there and had a lot of fun."
"Had a great time putting with a group of ten. We got there at 5 and was able to play at ease and left around 8 just as it was getting packed. It’s a little more costly than other places, but the vibes are low key, no flashy lights, and no kids were present which made for a relaxing environment. The staff was fun and energetic and were super helpful as we golf and checked in with us regularly to see how we were doing. In between games there was ample seating areas to relax. The drinks were enjoyable - about $15 is the average cost per drink. They were strong and delicious for the cost. I didn’t try the food but it looked and smelled delicious. Our group had most fun on the first floor with the lodge and then library. I think by the time we got to the third room we should have paused for food. The garage just wasn’t as an enjoyable play as the other two rooms and wasn’t as creative with the designs. The few cons are you can’t have one tab for the entire venue - the first and second floor are different. You can also order food and drinks while you put but you need to leave to eat food but you can keep your drinks on the course."
"Discovered this place on long weekend trip to Pittsburgh and checking out the strip area of the city. It’s a fun date spot in my opinion. You have food, drinks and miniature golf. Friendly, professional and prompt service overall. Food was okay but not amazing. I appreciated having food options though. Mocktails were good though! Golf - it gets crowded but that’s the weekend life. I enjoyed the library golf course and one round was the right amount for myself. I would recommend this place for a date night!"
"We went on a Wednesday night and had a good time, not super great for a large group since the course is max of 4 players. The bar was cool and had a nice selection, beer, mixed drinks, and even some non alcoholic beer available. We really did love the library themed course, and had a lot of fun. Overall good decor and happy we tried it out."
"About the Restaurant: This unique restaurant doubles as a mini-golf course, offering various areas based on the difficulty level for golf enthusiasts. Situated on Smallman Street, it exudes an amazing ambiance that sets the tone for a memorable experience. About the Food and Drinks: We started our visit with a couple of cocktails and some beer. While the cocktails were amazing in flavor, they could have had a bit more liquor to give them that extra kick. The lamb sliders we ordered were decent and contributed to a satisfying meal. About the Golf Experience: As newcomers to golf, we found it pretty challenging, especially given the crowd that made us feel somewhat rushed to move along. However, despite the initial difficulties, the overall experience was quite enjoyable. The combination of a unique setting, great cocktails, and decent food creates a memorable dining and entertainment experience. For its ambiance and the overall good time, a four-star rating is well-deserved."
