"I took my kids to see the Christmas lights there twice this year. I would highly recommend it."
"We enjoyed the festival of lights. A lot to see and great Christmas experience. Best thing is that you donate once and you can visit the entire season with the pass they give you."
"Love the Festival of Lights, we have been several times and will continue to return."
"What was once a magical and generational destination is now forever marred by the senseless slaughter of tamed deer in November 2023. Despite urgent pleas from the public, proposed litigation, PETA, and others, the Park Commission chose to ignore other more viable options such as relocating some of the deer elsewhere in the U.S. or pharmacological sterilization measures to control the population. What Wheeling and the many thousands of visitors each year were left with is a public park which continues to pride itself on family wholesome values, commitment to nature and the environment, and continues to feature deer in its annual Festival of Lights show. How can anyone now look at those displays in awe and splendor without seeing the hypocrisy. Shame on you, Oglebay Park. You have taught our current children and those yet to come that rather than work collaboratively and collectively to approach over-population that values life, in no matter what form it may be, that the easy way out is to simply permit the slaughter of tamed and trusting animals."
"We love attending during the Festival of Lights! Gorgeous light show outside of the mansion that coincides with the music. Lit up flowers all along the path in front of the shops, and leading up to the mansion. Gorgeous flowers in the greenhouse and lots of pretty photos to take. Photo ops outside hanging within the village area. What can I say about the nativity? It is absolutely gorgeous! A sight to see in itself. Don’t forget to stop in the glass center and see all of the lovely works of art. The ice cream shop next-door has some fun items that can be purchased. The Festival of Lights has been an ongoing thing for many, many years that we always enjoy taking our children to. I hope that it is able to keep up for many years to come."
