"Disappointing Experience at Doodle Bug (Southpointe) I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with the Doodle Bug (Southpointe) location, where my son attended for the past 2 years. Initially drawn in by its convenient location and perceived state-of-the-art facility, our experience has been marred by numerous issues and an alarming lack of accountability. Our troubles began with the departure of one of our son's favorite teachers, citing management issues. While changes are inevitable, the impact on our son was noticeable. As he transitioned to a new classroom, a problematic friendship with another student caused significant harm and distress, leading to daily struggles about attending school. The school's response to this issue was unsatisfactory, with little done to address the disruptive behavior of the other student. Incidents of physical and emotional harm persisted, including an incident in July that we only learned about from our son. Expressing our concerns to the director, Melanie, yielded a dismissive attitude and a lack of understanding. Even after escalating the issue to the corporate office, there was no proactive effort to resolve the situation locally. The director remained unresponsive, culminating in a shockingly unprofessional confrontation in front of the school's front desk. The director openly suggested that the program was not suitable for us due to our supposed lack of communication, which was demeaning and highly unprofessional. Discovering a mandatory 4-week notice period for withdrawal added an unreasonable financial burden for our family. Given the circumstances, it is infuriating to be held financially responsible for an extra month after deciding to withdraw our son. In summary, our experience at Doodle Bug has been marked by a lack of responsiveness, a troubling pattern of physical harm to our son, and an astonishing degree of unprofessionalism from the director. We hope this feedback is taken to heart, urging parents to carefully consider whether they want their child to experience the same trauma and frustrations we have endured."

"I would highly recommend Doodle Bugs in Southpointe! Our daughter was "more than ready" for Kindergarten after attending the Pre-K Program at Doodle Bugs. Miss Madison and Miss Sami are exceptional teachers! They are very compassionate and attentive and treat your children as if they are their own. Our daughter learned SO much from them! The Director - Ms. Melanie and Assistant Directors - Ms. Dawn & Ms. Brittany were very helpful and answered any of my questions in a timely fashion. Great comminication. The facility is extremely clean and the play areas are fantastic. I love that each classroom and play area has cameras and parents could look on their phone to see what their child was up to. "Our daughter absolutely thrives at DoodleBugs, she has been attending DB for almost 2 years. We ask her randomly if she loves her school and she says yes. They are always doing fun activities, learning, music, etc. We couldn’t be happier for selecting DB for our daughter. The teachers and administrators always available for questions, giving advice, and listen concerns."

"My daughter absolutely loves Doodle Bugs. My daughter has been attending Doodle Bugs for 2 years now. The amount of growth and development I have watched her achieve with each classroom is so amazing. She was a late walker and as soon as she started school there, boom, walking! As soon as she moved up to the next level, talking. My daughter has always been just slightly behind in development and when it was time to move up classes, they catered to my daughters needs and came up with a transition plan that worked for her and her individual needs. The teachers there are incredibly kind and loving to my daughter. They are always excited to see her in the mornings and greet her. The front office staff are so kind and helpful too. The director, Melanie, she is so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. If you have a concern or question you can just go to her and ask and it is immediately cleared up. She has always been so helpful. We love doodle bugs. I can’t forget to add that they have cameras you can tune in and watch all day if you want. That helps us to know that our child is being cared for fully. They even have an app where they send you pictures throughout the day. We love doodle bugs. I used to work at a childcare center when I was in college and doodle bugs far exceeding my expectations in comparison to that center. Being someone who has worked this type of job, where kids were pushed around all day into different rooms to cut corners and follow ratios. Doodlebugs is amazing because they don’t do that. Your child’s class is their class and, at least in my experience, they don’t move them around all day or really ever except for early early morning drop off, but that’s to be expected. We really love doodle bugs."

"Our daughter has been attending Doodle Bugs for almost 2 years and she absolutely loves it. The teachers and administration really listen when we have a problem, they offer advice, and they care about our child. We cannot say enough about how much we love DB. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school. She is not only learning but also getting in plenty of play time (inside and outdoors), sensory, crafts, and more. We also love that each room has cameras, that they have an indoor playground for when the weather is bad, the evaluations that they do."
