Reviews of memorial park
"Relaxing place, just with they had a new caregiver there that did a job like the last guy, he is sure missed"
"Enjoyed my time to remember that day"
"Cool memorial area. However, the trash cans at the gazebo were over filled. We picked up someone else's trash and threw it away. We would have taken the trash out but there was no dumpster for trash that we could see."
"This is a lovely little park that honours and remembers those who passed in the attacks on that dark day 19 years ago now. As someone related to one of the 2,977+ departed, I appreciate all the 9/11 memorials, but especially those in places where you might not exactly associate with the attacks themselves. The Youngstown area is actually where many steel beams were manufactured for the World Trade, and United Flight 93 flew right nearby before turning around and being heroically crashed about 75 miles southeast in Somerset, PA. It was all very respectful, and I’ll forgive them for having NYFD on the large planter instead of FDNY. The “Let’s Roll” urn was especially powerful, with Todd Beamer’s now immortal words which were spoken in the air nearby 19 years ago. Should also be noted that sharing the same car park is a recycling and rubbish area, with limited hours to reduce dumping, but the park space is open to people 24 hours if they wish. Thank you, cheers."
"I love how we have this memorial especially so close to the school hub. I hope parents let kids know what happened that day. The American Flag in between the two beams from the world trade center need replaced. I found it ripped all up and wrapped around one of the huge (rivets?). Please someone replace this tattered flag asap."
