Reviews of Emory Red Hinkler Park
"We have been going here since I was born 50 years ago. Very nice park, picnic area nice area to walk the creek and skip rocks with the family. Our dog loves it more then we do even so good place to go for that also."
"Clean...nice park..nice picnic tables..and has a grill..great for get togethers"
"Great place to take the kids. There's pavilions and it's pet friendly and there's a creek just off of the playground where you can take the children swimming. It's not real deep so it's fairly safe. You must be out of the park by sundown though."
"This little treasure was discovered earlier in the month after a rain storm I followed the creek and today was a beautiful day so I went and found the actual park not just saw it from to a wheelchair might as well be a the Grand Canyon , there was a couple of equestrian teams heading out when I got there . It’s kinda hidden back in there in Wesleyville , spacious beatific well kept grounds , it is going to be a picnic destination , it reminds me as kid grew up on a lake that if you swam in enjoy the ear infection , so we used to a little river in Roxbury CT called the Shepaug river , a few years ago somebody killed a cherry tree there that got everyone angry but also wondering where did they even come from ? We stopped a fruit stand on our way there and bought 10 pounds of black cherries every trip Us kids would run on the banks spit cherry pits at each other 5 found fertile ground and grew into trees and the people of the State got The Who ,where ,and why those trees existed , they passed a law protecting those trees , anyway I think I found my new Shepaug got a grand daughter on the way , gotta pass down what I received as child"
"Younger cousins LOVED going there. Each brought a few rocks home as keepsakes. Spent maybe 2hrs there and walked the creek as well."
