Blasco Teen Space

Blasco Teen Space is a dedicated area within the Erie County Public Library, located at 160 East Front Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. This space is specifically designed for teenagers in grades 8-12, offering a variety of programs and activities tailored to their interests.

Teens can participate in programs such as games, poetry, crafts, anime, and more, all while making new friends and having fun. The Teen Space is a newly opened area on the first floor of the Blasco Library, where teens can feel welcome and valued. Meetings are held from 2-4 PM at the library, providing a great opportunity for teens to get involved and share their ideas.

One way for teens to have a voice in the library is by joining the Teen Advisory Board (TAB). TAB members help the library stay current with teen trends, advise on collections and programs, plan and attend events, and more. Joining TAB not only allows teens to have a say in what happens at the library, but also provides volunteer hours and a free TAB t-shirt.

In addition to TAB activities, Blasco Teen Space offers a range of events such as movie nights, book clubs, gaming tournaments, author events, and more. The Erie Regional Library Foundation and Friends of the Erie County Library support the library through funding and advocacy, ensuring that the library remains a vibrant and inclusive space for the community.
