"Pizza and cinnamon sticks were very good and cooked to perfection. Seating was limited (3 tables) since the weather was cold and rainy and most of the Seating is outside. It was cold and the bathrooms were freezing. The inside artwork was very neat with chalkboards on the walls."
"I actually travel frequently the sixteen miles down interstate 79 from Erie to Edinboro just to purchase and enjoy this chewy, tasty, and extremely favoritful, strong flour pizza. The trip is highly recommended."
"Nice little pizza parlor. Pizza is surprisingly good. Just really tasty. I believe they use muenster cheese mixed with provolone. The pizza crust is good , kind of chewy, not hard and crunchy. Good amount of toppings. There are only 2 or 3 tables unfortunately. But the service was good. I want to go back soon."
"I went to college here, visited friends in edinboro when I was in highschool, and now I'm an adult, living 2 hours away. I will always crave John's, and in all those years, after a fire, they've never lost quality. This is still the best pizza I've ever had. I'm convinced, it'll never lose that title."
"Overloaded with Salt! I recently ordered take-out from John’s, and I must say, it was a truly disappointing experience. The main issue that ruined my entire meal was the excessive amount of salt in every dish. It felt like they were on a mission to turn their food into a salt mine rather than providing a flavorful dining experience. I specifically requested "NO SALT" on my fries, and to my surprise, the box even stated that there was no salt. However, when I got home and eagerly took a bite, I was greeted with an overwhelming burst of saltiness. It was like a mouthful of ocean water! I couldn't believe my taste buds were being assaulted like this. Not only did the excessive salt ruin the taste of my meal, but it also left my mouth burning for the rest of the day. I would much rather enjoy the natural flavors of the food rather than enduring a sodium-induced torture session. It's truly disappointing when a restaurant fails to follow simple instructions, especially when it comes to dietary preferences. I understand that taste can be subjective, but overloading every dish with salt is simply unacceptable. It's a shame because I had high hopes for John’s, but this experience has definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. To note I have ordered from here plenty of times and every time the salt is way too much, I thought I would see if they can do no salt this time. Nobody wants to endure a meal that feels like a salt overdose."
