Lunenburg Learn and Play Home Daycare

"Our 2 year old son started daycare with Rachel in August of 2022 and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our decision to send him to Lunenburg Learn and Play! Rachel went above and beyond to help our son make a smooth transition to her daycare, and he is now thriving under her care. Rachel has created a beautiful learning environment in her home that is engaging, fun and safe. She has found the perfect balance of providing the kids with plenty of time for "free-play" yet keeps their day structured; this speaks to Rachel's deep understanding of early childhood development. Each day the kids participate in activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, math projects, science experiments, dramatic play, outdoor play, etc. Even though my son is only 2, I know he is learning so much from Rachel. Everyday we get pictures and detailed updates about our son's day (what he ate, how long he napped, activities he participated in, etc.). We are so fortunate to have found Rachel and I highly recommend Lunenburg Learn and Play!"

"My son was in Rachel’s daycare for two years. I was impressed with this small operation. I wanted my son to be a classroom setting opposed to someone’s home where they would merely pass time and play. So with this in mind I hadn’t considered a in home daycare, but a friend of mine sent her son and raved about this place. While the daycare is in Rachel’s home the center is separate from the rest of her house. Comprised of two large rooms with it’s own kitchen and bathroom. There is direct access to a large yard which is sectioned off specifically for the daycare. Rachel has a full curriculum, with weekly updates on your child’s progress. The structure is far better than the large center I had my older daughter in for preschool. Rachel’s use of play based learning is the best of both worlds and Rachel is wonderful with the children! My son adores her and was excited to get there everyday. It was a great balance for someone like me who struggled with leaving my child with some outside the family and wanted a structured school environment. Even though my son is now in kindergarten we are still in touch and Rachel always invites us to birthday parties or gathering with the other children he knows."
