"In Stowe for a conference, getting some skiing time in too. Stopped at The Den for some lunch and tasty local beers. The place did not disappoint. Hubby had great beers. Got a pulled pork sandwich and chili from the snack bar and it was amazing. Roaring fire and great music. The place was busy but not packed. Never felt rushed and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely go again!"

"If you are looking for a Disney-like experience, you'll need to ski over to the other side of the street. This place is about as throwback as throwback gets. Old school wood walls, floors, bars and chairs. Empty in the morning, packed when the lifts close (at which time it can get pretty ripe in here). But if you catch the right day/time, there's no other place you'd rather be than sipping a hazy IPA and listening to a fantastic Dead cover band. Great beer selection (like most places in this town). Didn't eat anything. Not even sure they have a menu. Don't care."
