"Dave at Milford Auto Outlet was a very kind, helpful gentleman to work with. He didn’t express that “pushy used car salesman”, which was very refreshing for a change after endless searching elsewhere. The process of finding the right used car for me - a Suburu Forester - was easy and comfortable. He had great options to look at. I absolutely love my final choice, especially for being such a fair asking price in these times. I have waited a couple months to post this review as I wanted to give myself some time driving the car. I went here knowing this is a wholesaler, hence the great prices, but I couldn’t be happier. I now continue getting my car detailed from this place. Andrew does a fantastic job, and he is very thorough. I have and will continue to recommend - thank you guys!!!"
"About the most unusual car buying experience I've had. Dude doesn't have much for personality or charm (not rude though). It's kind of a what you see is what you get to place. He's not interested in negotiating or making any promises. It's basically you look at the vehicle and you like it for his price or you don't buy it. No warranty, no smoke blown. If you know about cars you should do fine. If you're clueless bring a mechanic."
"Buyer Beware! Dave, the owner, is a knowledgeable and straightforward guy. He is up front about the "as is" nature of the cars he sells. I disagree with this business model. If I am selling cars that have possible defects, I'd want to hire a part time mechanic to tell people up front what issues there are, so they can factor it into their purchasing decision. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. I didn't get on my back and under the truck to check for frame rust and now I have a safety situation. Do I risk giving this truck to my daughter to drive? Should she be at risk for the decision I made to buy a lower cost vehicle? Dave and I agree on this statement: "If you don't have the money to deal with possible problems that may be present, this is not the place to go to buy a car." Go somewhere where there are warranties and maybe lease a car to help with finances. Dave does care about his customers' opinions about his business and if you are dissatisfied, he would like to have a dialog."
"2001 Chrysler town and country. I recently was looking for a "Beater" because we go to northern Maine snowmobiling every winter, and I didn't want to rack up miles on my late-model vehicles. I started looking on craigslist really wasn't finding what I wanted then I came across Milford Auto Outlet, checked out their website and saw a couple vehicles I may be interested in so I spoke to Dave, and decided to take a drive down from Scarbrough Maine to Milford New Hampshire about 120 miles Dave basically shared with me how they purchase their cars and then turn around and sell them, I told Dave I have never bought a car this way and he made me feel pretty comfortable on making my decision so I found this vehicle. I have to laugh because when I told Dave I was going to drive it home that night and leave my car at his dealership till the next day, he looked at me like I was a little nuts , but my thought was if it's going to blow up on the way home it's gonna do it that night or the next day what's the difference. Needless to say I drove it home with zero problem. For a car that has 142k on it, you would never know it by the way It drove. Two days later, I drove it from Southern Maine to Fort Kent Maine which is on the Maine/Canadian border , 300 miles one way, probably another nutty move. Three days later turned around and came home without a single problem. Going forward when I am in the market for another "Beater" I am sure I know where I'm headed. I would highly recommend Dave and MAOcars . A+++ people there. Thank you Dave, Mark"
"What an awesome experience. I had heard about these guys through a friend who had purchased a truck there for a very reasonable price. I needed an inexpensive vehicle quickly, so I decided to check them out. What a great decision. It is a relatively small car dealership, but the lot was absolutely packed. There were so many affordable cars to choose from. I really want to emphasis that these prices were much lower than the 3-4 other used car dealerships I had been to that week, especially considering the excellent condition the vehicles were in. I ended up going with a mid-size compact at a great price (about 1/3 less than I had prepared to spend). The owners Doug and Nate were very friendly and seemed to genuinely want to accommodate me and not just make a sale. Using this expression nowadays is certainly a cliche, but they really were "no pressure". I eventually sent a friend to them who was in search of a specific vehicle and they were able to find him a Jeep Renegade he had been looking for, for quite a while, at price he could afford. I would recommend to anyone, but especially to those on a budget. Hidden gem."
