Thirteen Burger and Smoke

"We stopped here for breakfast. It is small and cozy though the lighting could be a bit brighter. The food was excellent. I got the breakfast skillet and was totally satiwith the portion and presentation. It was flavorful and well prepared. Even the wheat toast was hearty and not some thin wafer thickness. I will be back."

"First and foremost this is not a BBQ joint. My buddy and I are BBQ fans so we thought we would try it. I heard the burgers were good and they had expanded menu into the "smoke" department. I had burnt ends platter with fries and side salad; he had brisket platter with mashed and gravy and side salad. The salads were fine. The brisket was dry (not fatty enough) and cut with the grain (the wrong way) so it was stringy and tough. He took two bites of the mashed and said it was not worth the calories; I tried them and agreed not worth eating. The fries were fine. The burnt ends were good but not like smoked brisket burnt ends we have had. Waitress said they were pork. Hey, we're not in Kansas - its Vermont, so give them some leeway, right? Good local canned beer list, decent ambiance and small eat-at bar for single non-fussy working guy to get a meal, upps it from 2 star (food) to 3 star (overall experience). Its relatively new place so maybe they will up their game over time. Shortage of places to eat in the area, so wishing them the best."

"My wife and I really enjoyed breakfast this morning. It was amazing. I had the shepards pie special and my wife had the brisket eggs Benedict special. Wow, wow and wow. We will be back again for breakfast and try dinner next. Thank you and the waitress was wonderful."

"Was driving by headed to do errands and found 13 burger and smoke. My girlfriend and I looked it up and it looked amazing because we are originally from South Carolina. I got the 13 burger which was impossible to finish even tho I wanted to! Hands down was exactly like the bbq down south. The pulled pork Sammy was delicious as well. The hush puppies were mouth watering with the garlic aioli. I’m so glad this is near our house and it brings back memories of the food in South Carolina. Check them out if Facebook as well!!"
