Reviews of Elliot Wellness Center Rehab and Pediatric Rehabilitation Services
"Chuck from Elliot Rehab is amazing! He goes above and beyond to help his patients. Even when he challenges you to do the stairs which are scary for me since I’m a fall risk and just fell downstairs at my house last week, he doesn’t let you leave without feeling comfortable and confident with the tools he taught you during your session. I’ve had several different Physical Therapist’s throughout the years and he is the only that has said that he is willing to try every thing possible before he throws in the towel and sends me on my way."
"Honestly, I’m not sure how these people are still in business. Pediatric PT is very hard to get after COVID. When I finally booked the only 3 sessions available (in the middle of my work day) my sons appointments (10 months old) were cancelled because I didn’t answer the call when they called to confirm them. The same day I made the appointments I had to confirm them? I am livid. Therapist Katie was very sweet with my son at his consultation. Overall staff lacks empathy, ironically, for the Type of work they do."
"Nothing but positive experiences here. My son has seen Karen for a year and a half . She is very accommodating and professional. My son has come so far since seeing her for therapy. She makes OT fun! Highly recommend!"
"I have been lucky with PT and OT. I love Sarah my OT therapist. She's really kind and so helpful. Also I have a new physical therapist , as my other one left. :( sad because he was amazing. Anyhow, mary my new therapist is super nice also. I have to say, I was not happy it took over a month to get me in for Pt. I was in a serious car accident where I was hit by a drunk driver on the highway and my car was totaled. I needed to start ASAP and was told I was on the call list of ppl canceled , then to find out I wasn't ever put on the list etc. but... I'm there now and love it. Wish they had more up to date treatments etc though"
"December 17, 2014 Dearest Scott Durfee, Today my son David or known to you as file # 123456 had a physical therapy evaluation at 9am. After walking into the wrong building I called to get better directions of which there was no answer, so I left a voice message. We ended up finally finding the correct spot and walked in the office at exactly 9:03am. Two gentlemen were in front of us so we waited 2 minutes until the receptionist asked who we were. I told her my sons name; your receptionist responded abruptly with, “I am not sure Mr. Durfee will see David”. I was instructed to wait while she walked out back to ask you. A bit confused I waited as she returned with, “he won’t see you”. Completely bewildered I asked why? Well you’re late. I said ah 3 minutes? Apparently I misunderstood 9am sharp, so I told your receptionist we will not come back if David isn’t seen, she shrugged her shoulders. Clearly after our 60 second encounter I was wasting my time and your precious 3 minutes. I want to thank you for today. I didn’t have to rearrange my week or my son’s activities at all we loved that 35 minute drive there and back. I’m not busy and heck what’s another day off from school that’s over rated anyways, right? As I write this I wonder if you will even get past my second sentence? Let’s assume you will and I’m not wasting my time… again. Let’s elaborate on my level of gratitude on how I was treated by you and your receptionist. I am the mother of 3 boys; David my oldest 8, Tyler 4, and Dylan 2 years old. Since I didn’t have a babysitter this morning they all came along with me, in case you don’t know they are too young to be left home alone. Dylan and Tyler are sick with head colds, David was seen yesterday for an ear infection but; off we went for David’s appointment today with PT Scott Durfee. All three boys woken up, dressed, loaded, caught, and in the car. Off we went to Elliot Rehab at 1070 Hoyt ave. 21 miles away from our house and approximately 35 minutes eta with ideal traffic conditions. I forgot to mention that I called the school to inform them David will not be in because of his PT appointment. For reference I also own, manage, and run a horse farm, many MORE calls were made to reschedule lessons and other appointments for today. Since my son’s health is of priority my clients were more than accommodating to make changes. It makes me wonder if they would be this way if I held them to the same accountability you showed me today? What’s that Sarah, still confused about your riding lesson? Oh well it’s over already 60 minutes tick tock! Now get off, pay up, and screw. Maybe that was a bit much? Let’s scratch out that last comment “screw” with a nice shoulder shrug! Viola, all better now! My guess is that I would be filing for bankruptcy. Ugh, this turns my stomach to even suggest doing that to one of my clients. To clarify, in case my level of sarcasm wasn’t already established in this letter. I wouldn’t send my pet goldfish to your office. You see those 3 minutes were very eye opening as to the level of character you possess and so called “commitment” to your patient’s health care. Perhaps I interrupted your breakfast, you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or the following 9:30 am swim lesson was of much higher importance. I will never know but I thank you for sharing with me the importance of 3 minutes. Lesson Learned! File number #123456"
