"I started counseling to work through some of my traumatic memories, binge eating, poor body image, and so on. I had never done EMDR therapy but my sister recommended it to me, because it helped her years ago to get past a traumatic experience. Prior to CARE, I had 3 negative experiences with counselors. I couldn’t seem to find the right fit, I always felt worse after and it was not productive. Well, I started EMDR therapy last July and it’s the end of January and I can honestly say, I feel lighter. EMDR was very effective for me. It felt really accomplishing to hear my goals I outlined with my counselor in July and to realize I had met them. I am very thankful that I had Mary as my counselor. She always made me feel comfortable and was so understanding. It’s really vulnerable sharing such private things, and I am sensitive if I have any suspicion the other person is judging me. I never felt judged once with Mary and it truly felt like a safe space. I feel really proud of the progress I’ve made since last summer, and I feel confident I’ll continue to take strides in the right direction. Thank you so much!"
"Well apparently you have to make sure that you and the receptionist communicate the right insurance. I asked if they accept Aetna and all I got was they did. I was never told that my appointment was going to be out of pocket. I paid $120.00 for my first and last session. When trying to figure out what had happened all I got was I'm sorry for their mistake. Horrible service, wasted time and money that I do not have!"
"christina is so amazing. over 15 years of failed consoling and she’s been nothing but a blessing and extremely helpful to me and the trauma i deal with. i always look forward to our visits and couldn’t recommend her more!"
"I've experienced a lot of trauma during my life and have become pretty cynical. Hamshira does her best to try to get me to think more positively. She listens to me and acts accordingly whether medication, talking, whatever I need. I'm truly grateful for her attentiveness and for not giving up on me. Best, Chris Day"
"0 stars for the therapist, 4 stars for the owner/ supervisor’s response to the poor experience, 2 stars overall. The therapist- Narell- has questionable clinical judgement. It seems unethical to charge a $125 no show fee for a telehealth visit when she didn’t reach out to the client until after the session was over. No call, no text, just a passive email 45 minutes after the session. This happened twice with a young client who struggles with anxiety and organization. The lack of care or concern she exhibited makes me question if this is an intentional practice to get out of doing work and I am left believing the $125 no show fee went towards free time to catch up on notes or enjoy a cup of coffee. If you’re considering Care Counseling I would suggest requesting a different therapist if assigned to her."
