"I saw her for several years and thought I was doing fine up until I wasn't. On our last phone call she told me "you make it hard to do my job" and proceeded to tell me to go off of Thorazine 150 mg cold turkey (it's suggested you taper for 6-8 weeks according to my new psychiatric nurse practitioner or else I could become very sick). She also wanted to put me on haldol while i was on thorazine, which can cause an irregular heartbeat. After learning that, I'm convinced she stopped caring whether or not I developed a serious heart condition. After years of care, she ultimately got tired of my bipolar and insomnia as well as me. I decided to end it right after that phone call because I've never felt more wronged by a psychiatrist and hurt by their lack of empathy when I needed it most. Thanks for the good years, but ultimately you decided I was a pain."
