"My husband and myself have made several purchases from perrywinkles over the years and have been very pleased with them and the quality of the products (watch/rings/necklace/earrings). The most recent purchase being an engagement ring. My husband spoke very highly of how attentive and helpful the staff were. They went above and beyond; brought in stones that matched his request of caret, cut, color (my “hints”)- he was able to pick out the perfect stone. I can say that the stone was gorgeous and the setting was perfect. They all did a great job. I absolutely loved it. However, they dropped the ball on explaining the types of metal. My husband knows I’m rough in life-I’m out in the woods, hiking, kayaking, cutting down trees, i sling boxes for a living…. He would have GLADLY spent the money up front had he known better. That’s another story- he didn’t know better and no one explained it. No fault zone, I suppose. But maybe given this experience, they might consider educating the next person. I wore the perfect ring for 5 weeks before I encountered an issue… with the stone being loose. The prong bent. I was upset with myself, but my husband assured me it will be fine and would work out. This was four weeks after we dropped off the ring for the initial repair. We spoke with two people working and they recommend upgrading to platinum prongs. They explained doing this upgrade would essentially ensure the stone wouldn’t come loose again; unless someone was malicious about it. We agreed to pay the upgrade fee and were told the ring would be back in two weeks. Sweet!!! I was happy to hear I wouldn’t have to worry about another loose stone; after all it’s an investment. I instantly felt better about “breaking” my brand new ring. Three weeks go by and I haven’t heard anything- I’m getting nervous, so I make a call. I’m told they don’t know anything yet and don’t have a good estimate on when it will be ready. I’m thinking to myself *okay, they must be busy* another 6 days go by (still no call) l, so I call again. This time they have news- they can’t fix my ring, but will “call back tomorrow after they have more information from the jeweler” … At this point I’m pretty upset about the whole situation-more so about the lack of communication. The next day comes and goes…. NO CALL again…. I’m frustrated. I asked my husband to handle the situation from here on out. My husband ended up going to the store in-person and spoke with a gentleman who said he called and left a message (nothing came through though). Later the gentleman claims he must have called the wrong number. *It was correct on the yellow slip and in their computer system*. Despite my “misfortunes”- my husband decided to let them try to make it right- mistakes do happen we are all just human after all. After hearing the news about the band not being able to be fixed- he decided to upgrade the whole band to platinum metal, since it’s stronger. They offered to buy the original band back (seemingly as a favor for the inconvenience). They discuss the price and timeline-another three weeks. Fingers crossed they call if/when it’s done. The whole situation has left a “bad taste in my mouth”. Jewelry is an expensive investment. A luxury that we work hard for. Perriwinkle’s communicated perfectly when they wanted us to spend the money but have dropped the ball getting it fixed. Now that we committed to spending another thousand dollars, maybe they will go back to communicating again. Time has passed . More frustration … we are going on week two since the last contact. My husband called twice and left messages both times ….. and no return calls. AGAIN. I’ve washed my hands of this business and have thrown away a few dollars shy of 10k. I shouldn’t forget to mention that they were “unable” to find my purchase due to “system changes”. That was a fun time too. I’m not sure what happened to this place, but it’s not good. I know Plattsburgh is small and options are limited. Please consider your options before spending your hard earned money here. At least I have a picture to look at"
"I visited Perrywinkle's today and Carol was awesome! She cleaned my rings and they looked as good as they did when I first purchased them. She also showed me some pieces for a potential future purchase that I was telling her about. You should go and check it out. I can't imagine anyone on your gift list not wanting something from Perrywinkle's...AND they have coffee, candy, cookies and apple cider mimosas. What more could you ask for???? Truly a pleasant experience."
"I can’t thank Carol enough for the amazing customer service and bringing me up when I was so upset about losing my diamond in my wedding ring. She was patient and attentive to what my needs were. Carol listened and found the perfect diamond to replace the one I lost!! Everyone is always amazing but Carol was the star and helped light my way back to a smile!! "My experiences at Periwinkles have never been short of amazing. I’ve been a customer here for years and have always had great quality jewelry and great customer service. I’ve purchased jewelry here and also had jewelry made and both have been the best quality. Recently I went to Periwinkles in a panic that I needed a ring made and personalized very quickly. I was afraid it wouldn’t be possible to be done in time and was so stressed about it. My circumstances were a little unique and it was acknowledged by the woman I was seeing in the store, Carol. She helped me explore my options and choose the right thing. She then involved Perry, the owner, who made sure the piece was done as quickly as possible. Carol was so supportive of my circumstances and not only helped me get my order in and get me the jewelry promptly, but she checked in on me via text with updates about the jewelry and also gave emotional support to the circumstances I was in. She went above and beyond her job to make sure I knew she cared. She even drove to Burlington herself to pick up my jewelry so I didn’t have to wait for shipping. The service was phenomenal and the jewelry also matched that. Periwinkles not only gave me amazing jewelry with incredible meaning, but they also gave service above and beyond anything I’ve ever heard of. I’d recommend them to everyone!!! I’m so thankful to have worked with them!!!"
