"A mean-girl mentality seems to be pervasive among some of the workers, particularly the curly haired brunette woman who likes to conspicuously tell secrets to her coworkers about some customers. You know, the exaggerated though thoroughly unnecessary, hand to ear gesture. Despicable, but should I really expect more? She rules her used-clothes roost with a mean-girl mandate and that makes her happy so who am to opine on such matters. I am the lowly customer, after all. Sincerely, father of girls"
"Probably fine if you’re buying second hand clothes here. But, if you want reasonable money for your clothes this is not the place. They gave me a whopping $18 for three pairs of brand new never worn AE flex jeans that were all $50+ a piece. I washed and dried them after purchasing them from AE and they no longer fit me so I figured I’d get at least $15 a piece for them being brand new and “in fashion”. Woman at the counter wasn’t very friendly either. I wanted to just bring them back home with me but being an hour away I didn’t. Sure fooled me"
"Most of the stuff is reasonably priced for its quality but make sure to look closely at items they accept a lot of stained/ very used clothing. A lot of stuff is worth the price but make you research the value on unknown brands because I see a lot of cheap brands being up charged like the sweatshirt pictured for $12 when the original price was $5"
"Purchased 4 pairs of stretchy style shorts in size S and two were hanging off my daughter when we got home with them. Called and asked to mail them back because we are in NY and was told no. We love visiting this store but such policies put future visits in question. We visit two Plato’s closet stores (both are more than an hour from our home) and the other store has been open to return by mail. If the prices were a little more reasonable I’d be open to just eating it. $14for used Layer 8 shorts?"
