Ross Dining Hall

Ross Dining Hall is a 400-seat facility located on the western edge of the Middlebury College campus in Vermont, United States. The building complex includes residential living and classrooms, creating an environment that encourages a blend of academics and social life. With high ceilings and a large window wall facing the Adirondack Mountains, diners can enjoy stunning views of the sunset while dining.

The dining hall features four open concept kitchen stations where students can watch as their food is prepared, allowing them to customize their meals according to their preferences. Ross is open seven days a week, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The facility is committed to providing students with ample access to food, with a variety of healthy and delicious meal choices available.

Students and families are encouraged to share their favorite recipes, which may be incorporated into the dining options. The Unlimited Dining Meal Plan gives students access to the dining halls as often as they like, with $25 of declining balance per semester included. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available, along with freshly prepared entrees, soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.

Ross Dining Hall operates in line with Middlebury College Dining Services' commitment to providing students with a positive dining experience. The institution operates three all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, including Atwater and Proctor. Students can enjoy unlimited buffet choices and take specific supplemental food to go, included in a meal swipe.

While a missed meal allows for a reusable container to be used, there are limits on what can be taken to-go, in accordance with health regulations. Diners can leave with baked goods, sandwiches, hand fruit, desserts, or beverages, but silverware, china plates, bowls, glassware, and mugs must remain in the dining hall to avoid unnecessary costs for replacement.
