"I scheduled a 9am appointment for a Monday morning and was stood up. The secretary offered to schedule another appointment or leave my things to be looked over, but I made an appointment to speak with someone. I'm glad that this "tax specialist" didn't show up because God only knows what she would have done with my taxes. I am utterly blown away that I wasn't informed that this individual didn't call me and let me know that she couldn't make it. I also find it amazing that their office was empty at 9 am on a Monday morning during Tax Season. You need to make hay while the sun is shining and customer is king, and they failed both. I will not go to an HR Block again because of this. Update from calling the number in the reply to my post from the owner: I called the number and went through the series of automated call directions that I was sent to. Finanly I spoke with a customer service rep who was very understansing of the situation and genuinely offered an apology. I was very impressed by this. He submitted a case number to corporate or wherever and said the issue was going to be looked into and handled and someone would call you back. 3 days later I received a call from someone in some department in HR Block and I had the opposite experience from this individual. She explained that the appointment was missed because of an emergency with the tax person, which I understand, but couldn't answer why no one else was available or why I wasn't notified to save on the drive. She was rude and hard to communicate with. No offer of anything besides a very insincere apology. Once again, save your time from an H&R Block. I would like to point out I did not communicate any more with Whitehall's branch, but the corporate side of things was equally disappointing."
