"So in the spring I bought 5 pounds of the Confetti Zinnia Seed Mix and planted in April. Big mistake number one since it was too cold and none came up. So I planted again when it got warmer in May and they all grew. They poked up in a week. This was big mistake number two since I planted the seeds too close together and had to trim them back to 8 inches apart. But boy did they grow! I have so many Zinnias that I set up a give away stand in front of the house. I put out 50 to 75 a day and cars stop and take 6 each. This means more zinnias since the more you pick the more the plants produce. I have about a third of an acre full of zinnias and sunflowers and other flowering plants from the Amer Meadows Deer Resistant and perennial mixes etc. The place is buzzing, in fact yesterday I got stung while picking by putting my inner arm on top of a zinnia and trapping a bee. Now all I have to do is make peace with Burn Weed, Lady's Thumb, Ragweed, Horse Weed, Jimsonweed...etc."
