Brandon Town Hall

The Brandon Town Hall, located at 1 Conant Square in Brandon, Vermont, is a historic city hall and local government office that has been closed to the public since 1979. The building, constructed in 1861, has served as a civic and cultural center for over 100 years, hosting a variety of community events and gatherings. In 1998, The Friends of the Brandon Town Hall (FOTH) was formed by concerned citizens to restore and revitalize the building. Since then, over $1 million worth of upgrades and renovations have been completed, including the installation of new marble front steps, a fire suppression system, and an adaptable audiovisual system. The Town Hall has become a focal point for cultural and economic development in Brandon, hosting a range of events such as art shows, theater productions, lectures, and community meetings. The support from the Brandon community for the restoration projects has been overwhelming, with the town contributing budgeted funds for maintenance and repairs. With ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and amenities, the Brandon Town Hall continues to be a cherished symbol of community spirit and heritage.
