"The owner is obnoxious! The venue is beautiful but the owner was a pain about any drop of liquid on his floors. He walked around all evening with a cloth/ paper towels making rude remarks about spills. He really needs to seal his floors. He also micro managed decorations/ placement of flowers/ signs etc."

"The moment we stepped foot on the property of The Skinner Barn we knew it felt like the right place for us to be married. Peter, the owner, gave us a detailed tour of the space and quickly demonstrated his tremendous knowledge of the wedding industry and event production. In comparison to other venues we toured, Peter's property, experience, and value far exceeded the competition. The barn is beautifully renovated and was the perfect size for our smaller wedding (70 guests and it didn't look empty - can fit 125). We had our ceremony on site overlooking Sugarbush and the Green Mountains, a cocktail hour outside next to the barn, and reception inside. It was the perfect mix so that guests did not feel bored but didn't have to travel. Other pluses include space for catering on site, REAL bathrooms, and getting ready spaces for both partners. Peter was so helpful and supportive throughout our planning process and helped us orchestrate the rehearsal and day perfectly. We couldn't have been happier with the experience.Read Less"
