SCORE Vermont
About the Business
SCORE Vermont is an all-volunteer organization located at 87 State Street in Montpelier, Vermont, dedicated to providing free mentoring services to help individuals start or grow their businesses. With branches in Burlington, Montpelier, St. Albans, Middlebury, and Rutland, SCORE Vermont serves the entire state of Vermont. The organization closely monitors federal and state financial assistance programs for businesses affected by recent floods, keeping their list of resources updated regularly.
As SCORE Vermont celebrates its volunteers, they encourage individuals to consider giving back by becoming a mentor. The organization believes that anyone can succeed in managing a small business, but acknowledges that some may face additional challenges. They offer personalized support through their SCORE for All program, which aims to provide inclusive resources and mentoring approaches tailored to diverse backgrounds and needs.
Since 1964, SCORE has supported over 11 million small business owners and entrepreneurs through education and mentorship. They are always looking for individuals from various backgrounds to serve in roles ranging from business mentors to community advocates. SCORE Vermont is funded in part by a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, with all opinions and recommendations expressed being those of the authors and not necessarily reflecting the views of the SBA.
In addition, SCORE Vermont will be participating in the National Small Business Week Virtual Summit hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE on April 30 – May 1, 2024. This event will feature educational webinars, resources, networking opportunities, and guidance from SCORE mentors.
