"Went to the shop with a ton of sentimental jewelry that belonged to my grandmother. Almost every piece was broken and severely damaged. The woman behind the counter was very understanding and very reassuring that the repairs to all the jewelry pieces would barely be noticeable. When my grandmother's jewelry was returned to me it looked as though it was brand new! I couldn't have been more pleased. I will definitely continue to do business here, as good jewelers are so hard to come by. I always support local businesses and trades, as it's good for the community."

"Newport Jewelers broke the glass of my watch trying to put in a new battery. Then simply replaced the domed glass with flat glass, because they were too cheap to special order the domed one. Any criticism is met with “We have been in business for 40+years!” We’ll, if you are, don’t break it in the first place and don’t take the easy way out. These folks won’t do right by their customers. Should have listened to the previous reviews. Do yourself a favor and avoid this glorified pawn shop. Drive to Stowe or St.J instead."

"The jewelry at the shop is tasteful. However, if you’re a local you know the owner has a reputation for being exceptionally rude to customers. As the other reviews will attest, the maintenance and repair work is less-than-stellar. Unfortunately, it’s the only jewelry shop in the area, so most of us return for lack of choice, but if you’re able, I recommend making the trip to TM Jewelers in Littleton instead."

"I took my new to me ring to be resized. I love the people here, they have cleaned my ring for free 2x in the past, even though I did not buy the ring there. They give good advise, so when I needed this ring resized I thought of them. Well, they did a great job, no sign of the change that was made, and the ring was ready faster than they promised. The price was good I know it seems odd that some people have such a different experience, but mine was really good!"
